In the Philippines they make a stew out of it called Dinuguan. It can be pretty tasty. I've tried the dish they make the pork ears into, but I wasn't impressed. Just a bit too chewy for me, with not enough flavor.

Rant: The past tense of spit is spat. "I spit in his face" ain't correct, no man.

Rant: Public restrooms.

First, those automatic towel-dispensers. Why should we demean ourselves by waving our hands under the laser-beam, hoping that the contraption will stick out its tongue at us? If man rules machine, then the thing should keep feeding paper automatically, in abject servitude to us, si man.

Next, those hot-air hand-dryers. The wimpy ones, such as are made by World Dryer et al. and which populate McDonald's and some airport restrooms, have these instructions:

1. Push button

2. Rub hands together under warm air

3. Stops automatically.

The fourth step should be "wipe hands on pants," grrrrr man. Most of those restrooms (certainly McDonald's) don't have any paper except for toilet paper, which shreds lustily when one attempts to use it to wipe one's hands that are still soaking wet from the worthless dryer, see man.

I have seen, in all-too-few places, the Tornado dryer (or whatever). It projects a hurricane-force air stream that either evaporates the water from wet hands instantly or blasts it to hell. The inventor deserves a Nobel prize, as do the salesmen who get the things placed in public restrooms, si man.

Related Rant: Notice how one's spell-checker does not catch anything if one refers to a "pubic" restroom, huh man?

Rant: Supermarket near us held its going-out-of-business sale. Progressive markdowns (but too few) were made over the past couple of weeks.

Today, the last day, everyone was expecting 80% or 90% discounts, which any store management would decree as the only proper thing if the intent truly was to empty the store. However, the same puny 20%-to-40% discounts remained.

Furthermore, over the last couple of weeks, the store mysteriously removed stuff like the laundry detergents, packaged meats, and greeting-cards. I presume that they were taken to other stores in the chain. If you want to close the store, then leave everything there and give the customers the discounts! Cheap bastards.

Anyway, the store is permanently closed as of tonight and the awful employees are dispersed amongst other stores in the chain. If I bump into a couple of them in their new stores, I'll go straight to their new managers to say "I'm never coming to your store again." When asked why, I'll say "Because you hired that loser with the bad attitude and big mouth from the closed store. I wouldn't have considered her to be employable." Then, I'll spin on my heels and walk out. That will serve as payback for years of surly treatment with no recourse.

Better than that, I'll simply take my business to the competitor that leaves everyone awash with good customer service, si man. Or both.

On a related note, I went into a Walmart recently and was consciously amazed that the employees weren't openly hostile, gee man.

Speaking of going, it's time to go to bed, zzz man.

Yes he can use his ITIN for tax purposes. But an employer might want to give you headaches about it.

Yes he can use his ITIN if he has one. Once he has a SSN, write to the IRS to rescind the ITIN, also provide new SSN info so they can merge the 2 numbers.
