I have now finished the bathroom floor. I am dreading the main room. I think I’m going to get hubby to help me move furniture/boxes so I can start in the living room area and move inward from there.

Or I may annoy him and move the furniture myself.

He doesn’t want me to hurt myself so he likes me to be more careful than I generally am.

Tell him you ain't got time to be waiting on no man to get it done!

Are you still cleaning tiles?

Yep. This house is mostly tiles and with the grout being gross I’m doing it the old fashioned way - on my hands and knees.

I think I’ll scrub the main room from top to bottom when the furniture is moved for me to do the tile. Windows, dusting, baseboards, tile.

Then scrub and/or vacuum the furniture that goes back in it.

Truly sounds like you need some power equipment. At the very least a drill with a good brush on the end of it.

Lucky for me that it’s not a mansion huh?

I just figured that if I get the place really clean then the maintenance cleaning will be easier.

Less to do.

I may break the rooms down like the flylady website does though.

Actually I agree with Cary... I think a little drill with the brush on the end would be your lifesaver! (Or else buy toothbrushes in bulk from the dollar store... LOL)

I agree with Darnell. She should have immediately went to the CBP and had them fix the passports. That is the only place in which to do this. I assume their do not open packets were taken?

I'm a total believer in getting things properly clean, and then keeping them that way is easy. Letting things get trashed, makes cleaning them a real pain. I'm glad my wife feels the same way.

Yea hiker, put a nice stiff steel wire brush on a high powered drill :)

Not!

Hike, get a grout knife, and use it like a sander to scrap the grout lightly. It'll take off a lot of crud. Then an application of bleach will make it nice.

If you wanna go nuts, add a little premixed unsanded grout to fill in the groves and to seal it.

Well, maybe.
