I still have MLP from when I was a kid. My daughter has the ones that look like the 80's ponies. But we've watched every single MLP episode on netflix. LOL

Hubby has been so helpful around the house fixing odds and ends, it makes me wonder why he never offered to do this at our apartment in Ecuador. huh.png Cat's out of the bag now, though, I know he's good with his hands. It's too late! laughing.gif

I need to join a gym here. I've been feeling very fat lately. Leaving the country and come back after years makes me realize how fatty most American essentials are. It makes me miss Ecuadorian food. unsure.png I just want some salad and fish soup!

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

So I did not say this here.

You better hope I never have any contact with your daughter. My first words to her will be...."Cary says you love MLPs" :)

So.....this reminds me of years ago when i worked in a law firm.......so we had a guy sitting in central booking with someone. He was in the courtroom with an arrestee waiting to see the judge.....that's the situation.....

Meanwhile, I'm sitting in the office doing nuttin (as usual).....I get a call from him......he asked me if I have spare pants. And I said no, so he asked me if anyone around have spare pants.....so this other guy Charlie said he does. I asked why he needs spare pants. He told me that he crapped himself in the courtroom. And he said "Steve, don't tell anyone".....so naturally I said "hold on" I didn't even put him on hold. I covered up the mic and yelled out "hey everybody, Ted crapped his pants in central booking" lmao....

Now I dunno why he didn't just tell me that he ripped his pants or something lmao. I'm still cracking up thinking about this.....why didn't he just run to the crapper lmao......

Nope... DL on Aug 13th. I made an appt. I just ignored the internet this morning. smile.png It apparently went along just fine without me! biggrin.png

Thanks Niki and Cary. I can't come up with anything as witty as everyone else.

Hiker, can you run early in the morning? When it was 90 degrees here with a high humidity level a couple of weeks ago, I was going out at 5 am to get my training runs in before it got too hot.

If he wasn't so lazy, he can build you a laundry chute :)

Hubs told me his best friend is getting deployed for 7 months in Oct. We don't know where he's going yet. The guy is trying to get out rather than re-up. I dunno if his wife will want to stay here or go back to her parents, but we'll help her out all we can if she stays.

Hike, they sell a coloring pen in Home Depot that works great restoring a new look to grout.

Autumn arrives in November where you are. Then if it snows a quarter inch, everything shuts down and everybody goes home to hide.....

The SS Gel w/bleach is really working and I’m getting the grime from years of dirty feet walking on the floor out of the grout. Plus I’m finding the act of scrubbing the floor somewhat zen-like. It’s like I’m meditating when I do it.

83'F in the house, is like sauna.

You can start your running programming anytime you want.

Go sign up for a race, and start training.

I think Steve is right and I’d melt. Our tolerance to the high heat isn’t great yet.

Is the teen enjoying her new home?

She’s loving it. Bought her a Huffy Cruiser & one for me that her friend is using - Walmart so nice and cheap. They go tooling around to the beach or wherever with them. They’ve also been painting her room from a bright green to a more mellow blue during the hot hours.

In theory I could but not that early as there are no streetlights on the Island. It’s against the city code. The neighbourhood has a few dim/lower to the ground lighting but It’s hard enough to see the tourists at dusk let alone a runner when it’s still dark.

I may try to figure out when dawn is and see what the temperature is like then. :) Told hubby we have to get to the beach for sunrise one of these days. He doesn’t like mornings though.
