The old man hates mobile devices. He said he still uses a star-tac

Trivia question.....no googling.......

It was in the 70s that Motorola built the first cell phone network. Known as TAC, aka 1g.....

What is TAC?

No idea what TAC is, unless its the thing I left on the teachers seat once and got sent to the principles office for afterwards.

She likes swimming. And is fast like a baby seal.....but this last class, refused to jump, and refused to go underwater......

I'm a pretty good swimmer, and would like for her to be the same...

Lol....man you call yourself a robotics genius? The skipper would know.

Total Area Coverage.

I never did call myself a robot genius. I've turned customers away from robots more than I've used robots. In certain cases they can't be beat, but generally there's most cost effective options. Those options aren't as sexy though, so you still get people wanting to put a robot in when a simple XYZ table will do the trick for a tenth of the cost.

I wish my daughter had liked horses but I put off learning to ride until she wasnt' interested. However she seems to have taken off in her swimming which is what the ex always wanted for her (he was a competitive swimmer from age 9 until he graduated college.) Had I pushed more, maybe she would have followed in my shoes, but I felt it wasn't really something she wanted, just wanted to do for me. I don't think swimming is her thing either, she's just good at it through practice. It's hard to let our kids figure out what they want to do and what they're good at. I think she's really good at beading though, so maybe I should introduce to her real beads vs the kids ones.

My youngest is developing a good head on her shoulders. Very thoughtful, practical and doesn't just take people's word for things but researches them herself. But she doesn't get a lot of real critical thinking about at her mother's place, just a lot of emotional response and outrage to things going on in the world. The Trayvon Martin came up for some reason, and she started saying some of the typical emotional response reactions to it. I pointed out a number of things both sides are ignoring as they yell at each other. And after I told her all that her reaction was, Wow, I thought I had looked up this stuff, but I missed all that. Which isn't surprising when 99.9% of the stuff out there is emotional outrage on both sides and very little facts. But I was proud that she hadn't just accepted what she was hearing and went to research it herself. I told her to keep it up, and she'll start seeing through the BS and start seeing the facts under it all.

I'm not sure what to think of this same daughter though when she says, flowers are a waste of money because they just die, though. While I'm proud she's thinking and researching, I wish I could also instill a little slow down and smell the roses mentality to.

The one good thing about swimming is that it’s a life skill. There’s so much you can’t do if you don’t know how to swim.

I’ve run out of the soft scrub gel and only have the cream stuff. I don’t like it as much. Going to have to pick up a couple of more tonight.

Oh well. Time to get ready for date night with hubby anyways.

Why does everything in the USA have high fructose corn syrup in it? I'm going to buy bread pans tomorrow and make my own bread. The stuff without the HFCS in it tastes just as yucky as the stuff with. :(

Oh and I can't find decent coffee anywhere!!! Maybe sprouts?!
