Well, it seems I lost 9kg (19 pounds or so in Imperial) over the past 4 weeks. And I had my band fill yesterday without any major issues though it took 3 attempts for the consultant to find the entry

Maybe you should move out for a while and make her realize how much she depends on you. Don't pay the bills etc so that she has to pay them and realize the value of money.

To her, her family can do no wrong, her family and her friends are always right.

Her savage nephew was brought up right by her family. And he too, can do no wrong. And my daughter did not pick up any bad behavior from him.

So she is 25 and you are 40? Of course she will be more attached to her family at her age than you are to yours. She is living in a foreign country so will feel more vulnerable than you. If you are really unhappy have a trial separation. If you do separate at least she is young enough to start a new life again.

I did ask her that the night before the trip that I almost didn't go on. I do expect her to stand by me as I do her. And that was, was......the answer she gave.....
