did you get your DL?

So I go to the office like 30 mins early, before opening, and there are 30 people lined up outside already. Granted a bunch of those were teens with parents, but OMG, i was like... uhm no. So I go on Aug 13th, at 8:15 am. I made an appt. According to the person I talked to, it's the same as transferring from an out of state license, but they didn't have that option when I made the online appt. I had to pick new driver. So hopefully when I get there, It won't be a big kerfuffle. I still need to show up before 8am though to make sure I sign in before my appt time or else I'm at the back of the line.

well, I've taught her to be way ahead of the class. She knows how to hold her breath underwater, she knows how to jump in the pool, she knows how to paddle and kick, and she's lightening fast in my neighbors pool.

She showed up at swimming class today and went backwards in time. Afraid to jump in, afraid to go underwater.....it's frustrating. She knows how to swim. and she won't do it. The instructors had to drag her with the kick board. But yet she really doesn't need it.....the second she holds the kick board, she stops kicking....

and Tiff is no help. At the rate Tiff is teaching her, she'll grow up to be just like that savage kid in Malaysia....

She still has some bad habits she picked up from that kid. And she's worried that my daughter will repeat what was said about that kid, to that kids parents. and my response is..."I don't give a #######, as long as my daughter isn't like him"

You see what I mean when I say Tiff is retarded? She can't even decipher the order of importance.....

Don't stress so. Your daughter was probably feeling the pressure and was seeking attention. Kids do strange stuff sometimes.

It's hard when there are other people around. My daughter would get up on the island in the kitchen and dance, but the one time she had a dance recital she said she was too scared to be on stage! Now she loves the stage though and her favourite summer camp is drama camp. Go figure. She'll do okay, just give her some time :)

I agree that the important thing is that she learns to not be like the angry child in Malaysia. Tiff sometimes reminds me of my ex's family. They were so worried about their self image with everyone and projecting a "we're better than you" that it made them into mean people who no one wanted to be around.
