SOMEONE BRING ME COFFEE OR I MAY HAVE TO ACTUALLY GO AND GET ONE

I think I'm about to crack.

I've had 4 days off which honestly was more like 5 because that one day on was in the middle of the 2 and 2 and people just kept asking me questions and I got sh*t-all done.

My general manager just keeps throwing deadlines at me.

They keep firing people and leaving me to train new people.

I'm going NUTS.

Maybe you can work at getting yourself fired and not put up with it any longer.

Oops, looks like we ran out of food when I wasn't looking.

Or maybe it was when I was procrastinating grocery shopping.

Find a grocer that delivers and keep being lazy.

No, I actually like my job because I'm good at it.

I like things I'm good at.

I just wish people would be a LITTLE more sympathetic to what I've been going through the past few weeks.

I AM moving countries after all! JESUS!

Also, I don't think they have anything like that in us wee-little towns.

Also, I leave in 4 days so what do I care?

Perfect excuse to eat out for the next few days.

Nuh uh....it's Ariel and Eric...

I made my oatmeal too watery....

And, talking about oatmeal, I hope hiker made it to her new home ok...

Made it to my new home okay and i’m trying to catch up on the thread in between boxes.

First off: My condolences Cary. I’m glad you got to hear the stories that made you remember your mum the way she was when she was younger. I hope those memories are stronger now! Glad your wife was awesome for you - hard times can make or break a relationship and it sounds like she was an amazing support for you.

Congrats to those who found jobs and/or got interviews. I will keep my fingers crossed for continued successful interviews.

Yay! on the the green cards received!

Glad that Mama-Mrs.TB’s visit was so awesome that TB is gonna miss her. Did she take any silverware home with her? The less there is in the house, the less you have to wash. :P

Steve you sound like you could use a break...

I've got a question for you guys, since I love to watch "Animal Cops" on Animal Planet and a couple of days ago I watched an episode about a hurricane in Texas and how people abandoned her animals, so the SPCA had to rescue them and then some owners came to collect their animals.

While it's difficult to evacuate all your animals when you have a farm and lots of them, I couldn't understand why you can't take your dog or a cat with you... Is there any state/federal law that you can't take your dog with you while being evacuated? Or is it just some people don't give a damn about their animals and let other to bother with them?

I know I saw a special on Hurricane Katrina and the abandoned pets. The problem with people without vehicles was that they were not allowing animals on the evacuation buses and thus the people had a choice. Leave the animals behind or stay with the animals and risk their lives as well. Hard choice to make.

My leashed kitty got away from the teen at a rest stop part way through our trip and hid in the woods for a while because she was scared. Luckily we found her after a while. Hubby said that he was prepared to stay at the rest stop until I was ready to leave and not before. I love that man! luv.gif

Even if that's heartbreaking, it still seems reasonable.

Thanks for answering! :)

Yeah I was trying to save money and NOT eat out but I realized I am not COMPLETELY broke like I thought I was so I will just go grab some food for lunch =X

Also, all my days are gone and/or accounted for.

Except (1) half day.

Which I MIGHT take friday afternoon while I finish the pack-out, but then I might save it because christ, it's only july.

Also, I need to get another mammogram this year so I'll prob need to take a half day for that.

If I were to actually get sick, I don't think it would matter since I worked from home for so many years I don't think they'd dock me days if I worked from home.

If it's a Polish concentration camp then Polish people were the inverters of it/the executioners.

OK so Germany takes over your country. Makes all the laws, is killing anyone they feel like it, and says you people run this camp, now gather up the jews, kill them, or we'll kill you. Now they want to put the blame on the Poles? I think I got that right.

I really effing hate when I say something about marriage and old people respond with 'well you're still a newlywed, just wait until you've been married for 30 years'

The fact that you've been married for so long has absolutely no bearing on my relationship and you have absolutely no idea what works for me.

It was in regards to this ridiculous post I saw on facebook a few days ago with 16 ways to NOT end up divorced.

Some of them were things like 'don't poop with the door open because your spouse will just see your ugly face grunting on the toilet every time they see you naked' or 'go to the bathroom to fart' and this was written by a guy, btw.

It was hilariously stupid.

I really could care less if my husband poops with the door open or farts.

In fact, he spend saturday stinking up my car with disgusting farts and I found it more hilarious as we were constantly laughing together.

I did not look at him in any bad way at all because it was hilarious to him and he kept laughing and smiling which I love.

I have, on paper, been married close to 3 years, but I've been living with my husband for over 4.

We may not have been married for 30 years, but I do not consider us newlyweds either.

Do not fricking tell me how I feel or how i WILL feel.

I ESPECIALLY hate that one.

How I WILL feel.

This girl at work used to tell me all the time because my husband barely worked and I bought him stuff all the time.

"Just wait... you'll get sick of it, then you'll get divorced because you didn't make him get a job"

DO NOT TELL ME HOW I WILL FEEL.

JUST BECAUSE I WANT TO VENT FOR 2 MINUTES ABOUT SOME TOY I BOUGHT DOES NOT MEAN IM HARBORING DEEP SEEDED RESENTMENT TOWARDS MY HUSBAND.

Please, relatives that I barely talk to, tell me more about my marriage and how it will continue.

Some people don’t realize that venting and letting something go is better than acting all sweet and holding it all in and getting bitter.

I did like some of the stuff that guy said in that post though - if it’s the one I am thinking of. I think he realized that he stopped cherishing his spouse and started treating her more like a roommate and that’s the stuff he regretted.

Thanks for the condolences. I felt actually pretty good about it after the funeral lunch. Still comes back and a bites me at times, like I got teary eyed writing a thank you card to my mother in-law. Its weird the times it will hit me, but I'm mostly ok with it. She'd had COPD for near 20 years, so we actually got much longer than anyone ever expected.

What kind did you have? I bought a case right away on Amazon when I bought my Nexus 7. I could just see that breaking so easily, and I'm sure it would have been broke by now as I have dropped it a couple times.

Sorry you trashed it.

It's a nexus 7 as well. Hubs said to shop around for a new screen and he'd put one on. Thank god he's electronically inclined. He made me feel better (i'm sure he wanted to throttle me at the same time but didn't say that) just by saying he could fix it. He bought a case for his on amazon as well and it took like 2 months to get. I've dropped my phone all over creation and it's never had an issue with the screen. So I guess I figured it would be okay. It just slid off my lap when I was outside reading (I bent over to look at my toe... and the one time I don't put it up on a flat surface... Sigh.)

I just wanted to get some vitamin D ffs! Well with the new screen I'll have to buy on ebay, I'll find a case on amazon too.
