I just looked at our packages and both of them have been opened and resealed.

Ours have the original Consulate seal then someones initials and a second Consulate seal that is unbroken. Both packages have tape to seal the envelope.

Does yours have a second seal?

I just received one packet containing my passport, sealed envelope and other documents.

Ours have only one consulate seal with initial.

Just worried to see the seal which looked not perfectly matched.

I have two petitions is why I have two packages (CR-1 and CR-2).

To me it looks like your package has been opened.

I think yours should have the second seal like mine do.

I would contact the Embassy to see what’s up.

Best advice - Contact the embassy, explain your issue, they will let you know what to do.

Embassy phone numbers:

(local number: 632-301-2000 extension 5184 or 5185 (call them around 3-4:30pm)

** (214) 571-1600 or (646) 254-3546 (these are USA numbers)

I went to the embassy this morning, showed them the packet and explained my concern. I was hopeful they would do something about it for I was bound to fly to my hometown in the afternoon. However, I was advised to send an e-mail to the link they gave because Window 38 was no longer accepting walk-ins. In the case they would ask me to send back the packet to the embassy, I would just send it via 2GO at no cost. I did not complain more cause my scheduled flight to US will be in October this year.

Thanks for the insight Hank!

Good to know. Hope all goes quickly and smoothly.

Not flying until October huh? We delayed flying to the States as well.

Make sure there is a warm coat waiting for you as October in Iowa will be on the chilly side.

I hope so. I received an automated response from the Embassy and said they cannot address the concern the quicker the possible due to the high volume of emails they receive everyday. They acknowledged they were unable to receive attachments too. (bad).

Anyway i am giving them 7 working days as what they promised.

We wanted to fly the soonest the possible and only October is the month when my fiance permitted to file his leave of absence, for he already used his paid vacations when he visited me last year.

Yup, I am already geared up when i get there and January is the peak month of winter when our wedding will take place wink.png

Very understandable they do not accept attachments, as long as you explained what the DO NOT OPEN envelope looks like with the stamp they will figure it out as to whether you need to send it back or not.

You will be fine for flying in October.

Owwwwwwww! January for sure is cold. I am originally from Minnesota, if you think Iowa is cold ... remember Minnesota is COLDER !!

Very good! The way that stamp was I figured they would change the envelope. Now you are good to go!! Time to relax, visit with family and friends. We stayed in the Phils a month after the visa arrived, just to have time for visiting.

Coldest weather I was every in while living in Minnesota was -51c (actual temp, not wind chill, the wind chill was -87c). Luckily for you it doesn't get that cold in Iowa. ;)

Now in Arizona its temps that go extreme the other way. Couple weeks ago it was 47c.
