I received my permanent residency in 2009 and I've been visiting US every year since then and I applied for green card for my son who was over 21 at the time I received my PR.

Now his priority date is Jan 2009 and current processing priority date is Nov 2005, I've not been maintaing residency in US and I've been only visiting annually.

I know that in order to process the green card, I will need to show domicile, tax returns etc. My question is : how is it possible for me to get my son's green card processed with the required supporting documents after his priority date is current without maintaing residency in US and only visiting annually.

You can't. Technically at any time if a CBP officer sees that you are staying OUTSIDE the US longer than you have stayed in, they can revoke your GC.

Just wondering - what was the purpose of your Green Card? You could have applied for a B1/B2 visa for regular tourist visits

A green card is for living in the US. It is not for living in India with occasional visits to the US. The US government can revoke your green card status.

If the US government finds that you failed to maintain your green card status as required by US laws, then you will lose your green card and your son will not be able to immigrate.

If you want your son to immigrate to the US, then you need to maintain your green card status by living in the US.
