So Im starting to assemble the AOS packet and it says they need form G-325a filled out. I assume that is for both the petitioner and the beneficiary, right? Also, I have that form already filled out and typed up on my laptop so can i use the same taped form and just change the date and sign it? And of course would add for current wife/husband each other since we got married yesterday. Is that okay? Its the same form as much as I see.

Only the foreign spouse applying for AOS needs a new G325A. Things have changed since the one filed with the K-1. You need a new, updated one.

I just noticed that the forms look alike, exept they have two different exparation dates. The one I filled out in Sep last year expires in 2012 and the one off the vj website expires in 2015. So I guess is safe to fill it out again and stop being lazy lol

I meant the information entered on the form has changed, such as now having an A#, possibly an SSN, name changed(for females), have a current husband or wife now, have a new address, etc. But yes, use the most recent form from the USCIS site.

Where can I find his A#? His POE was last friday. Also we have not yet filled for his SS# so im leaving that blank till its ready. Can we submit the AOS form without SS# or wait until we have that # to put in on that and other forms?

For a K-1 visa the most reliable (and sometmes the only) place for the A# is on your NOA2 right above the beneficiary's name. It is in the form of XXX-XXX-XXX. One thing you will also learn is to not leave items blank. For his SSN, put in "NONE" instead of leaving it blank. I would get thee to the local SSA office and apply for teh SSN since it has become a pseudo national ID number. It always amazes me how many people want that number even thought they have no legal right to require it--i.e. to be added to your employer's health insurance benefits or non-interest bearing bank accounts. Once the application is approved you can go back and request the number. You do not need it for AOS, but we included it so that my wife's A# is associated with her SSN. Up to you whether you want to wait or not.

Good luck,

Dave
