Jeannie & Al - thank you! You seem like a really positive person. Thank you for being uplifting!

I really wish I could help other petitioners battling not only the wait but the mistakes in the system sad.png

For those waiting months and months, I really admire and envy the strength of their relationships. I will not be able to rejoice like they will when they get to be with their loved ones smile.png

thanks - I try to be positive most days but we all have our bad ones..especially going through this process as you know :) I try to help people when I can because so many people have helped me here. :)

NVC received our package yesterday (8-19-2013) and assigned a case number that i got this morning. Hopefully will ship out soon. Someone has a way of tracking it via dhl but I can't find that info. Anyone have that info and care to share it? Thanks.

edz posted the site to check your status from DOS but if you're looking for the DHL courier tracking to estimate that it got shipped and arrived at the embassy, you can go through this thread..I would read the last several pages for some updated instructions..good luck :)

Check your case status with at http://ceac.state.gov first. Once it says it's "In Transit" you can check DHL. To do so:

1) Go to http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

2) In the "Shipper's Reference" line, enter your info based on this format "EXP [date] [three-letter month] [year]A" - an example would be "EXP 14 AUG 2013A"; the date will be the day you saw it changed to "In Transit"

3) Set the range for shipment appropriately to include your date in the "From" row

4) Set the "Shipment Destination" to your country

5) Click "Track"

If you don't set the "Shipment Destination" it'll pop up a few results but probably not the exact one. Bear in mind that it also takes about a day or so from when it goes to "In Transit" before it shows up on DHL's site.

that was fast! our package was shipped from USCIS aug 13th, received by nvc aug 16th, got our case number aug 19th. but we have a problem, we were given MANILA, PHILIPPINES case number instead of Bangkok, Thailand case number.Apparently, it's a mistake on their part since we specified on our I129F form that I wanted to have my inteview here in Bangkok... We are now advised to wait for 10days for change of case number.

Can we schedule Medical now that we have case number. Even before it reaches the embassy. Reason is because Vika and her son are visiting her either in Kiev and would be simple to get this taken care of now while he is with her so he will not have to come back Ina couple weeks. Thanks for any insights.

It varies.. In the Philippines, as soon as u have the case number, you can go for a medical already.. Try calling the consulate office if they allow it..

Our visa status just changed to "In Transit".

Guys, we finally got our case shipped today!! It took 29 days from the noa2. But I gotta say, I don't think this would happen today without our congressman's help!!

There's one thing I want to make clear here for those who don't know what is going on and why this is taking so long. All this waiting to get the new case number after the noa2 is NOT NVC's fault, although they always say it can take up 8 weeks, this is just the deadline they have, but the real delay is from Texas Service Center.

It had been 4 weeks since we got the noa2. We sent several emails to different email addresses (NVC & TSC), we called NVC almost everyday and still hadn't got anything. Then, my fiance decided to try the Congressman again (he contacted him when we were waiting for the noa2 for 5 month and a few hours after the congressman's assistant made a phone call to TSC we got the noa2. Coincidence? maybe). The assistant called TSC again and guess what?! The attendant confirmed that our case hadn't been sent to the NVC yet and she also told him that they are having trouble with cases transferred from Vermont! Shortly after he talked to TSC my fiancé received an email saying that our case was shipped today! Another coincidence? I don't think so...

ooh congrats - great news. smile.png I got that notice on a Tuesday and had my number that Friday night (3 business days)...so I would try by wednesday. smile.png

hi z - haven't seen you around in awhile but I see from your timeline you already had your interview and were approved - congrats! smile.png

Thanks! It was quite a wait and delays every step of the way. I hope your journey is going well! I would not do this again, I would just marry in the other country and wait there for this long process. I would not suggest anyone go thru this K1 process, life is too short to lose close to a year of time apart. So glad the separation is over!!

Take Care!!

After case number, my fiancé had to pay fees first before she could schedule medical and interview on line.. After paying, things went fast. Had medical and approved at interview with in one week. . Had interview on Friday, then today CEAC web site shows visa issued ( 2 business days) Passports should be in Poltava tomorrow.

We had medical scheduled before case was ready at embassy. . Case was sent to embassy 3 days after case number. Case was ready at 5 days after arrival at embassy.
