Just called NVC and received our Case number . It took 2 weeks . It was sent to the embassy yesterday . Woot!

I'm hand carrying the paperwork tomorrow . Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Congrats! Was that two weeks from the shipping notification?

Yes, I would like to say there's a certain time frame for this , but its the government. Up to 8 weeks says it all.

Thanks. I'm worried because it's been more than a week since my shipping notification and we don't have our case number yet and someone else shipped after already has theirs. It does help to know that it took two weeks for you (not that it made the waiting any better for you!).

Its funny ,since the embassy was closed , it didn't matter. Then I realized, I just had to reframe my thinking. Do what you would normally do if you weren't going through this process. Use this time to study , or take lessons , or become involved in your community. You will run out of time . Once you are together , you might not have the time or money:)

How long has it taken for most people from the shipping notice to NVC receiving it? I'm seeing around a week? I'm already at 11 days (or maybe 7, since I got another notice that it shipped 4 days after the first shipped notice...) and the NVC says they don't have it yet!

Mine went on a Tuesday and we had our case number by Friday night..hope you hear something soon h_m!

oops - edit to add - congrats!! so glad you finally got your number!! woo hoo! :)

I never got a letter saying it was shipped to NVC just the NOA 2. Is that a problem?

when did you receive your NOA2? before, they don't usually send you a notice when a case is transferred to NVC. I am not sure about TSC because they sent us the transfer notice for some reason. you can call them and check it out to be sure ;)

I don't think they send a letter saying it was shipped, but you do get the online notification. Have you checked there?

If you were transferred to TSC it's been taking 2-3 weeks for it to get sent, though some get sent earlier than others...TSC has definitely been giving the notification about shipping, but I think CSC and VSC are spotty about doing that. If you're still at VSC maybe it was shipped without you being notified. At any rate, call the NVC or DOS to see if they have it.
