Here is a breakdown of how this is supposed to work for those that don't know:

NVC will receive your case from USCIS (Texas Service Center), review it, assign a case number and now it's ready to be sent to your consulate..they can tell you your case number over the phone and some Countries allow you to go ahead and schedule Medicals and Interviews...NO ONE from TSC has been told that they have reached the NVC...I believe the first approvals were 6/12? Dustin is 6/13....so we are close to 30 days with no word of any arrivals to NVC..crying.gifcray5ol.gif

Just got our case number today. At least it shows they're assigning case numbers within a day or two of recieving them.

We just got off the phone to the Department of State. They told us it's still a bit early, and generally it takes 30-60 days, although the average at the moment is around 30 days and to call back next

I read earlier in a thread about how files are handled at NVC. The thread was an interview with a immigration officer.He said when cases reach NVC, they scan files into computer and assign number. The cases are then emailed to embassy. The 2 weeks they tell you to wait is actually time for embassy to look things over. In reality, the electronic file is there in minutes from being sent from NVC.

This from a thread some time ago, and I do not know if it was real or someone blowing smoke. But it makes sense. In this day and age, why send an actual paper file overseas that can get lost. I just don't know. The whole system is screwed up.

I'm happy to have found this thread. I'm a vsc tsc transfer and received my noa2 on july 3rd. I really do hope we all our petitions get sent to the nvc this coming week.

Yes! next week will tell us if we are correct in this theory...fingers are crossed!!

fingers crossed!! But I think it's highly possible. And when it once is at NVC it should only take a few days till they're gonna send it to the embassy. FINGERS CROSSED want this weekend to be over!!!

12/11/2013 - GC received! 2 months and 1 day from the NOA1
