Just got our case number today. At least it shows they're assigning case numbers within a day or two of recieving them.

We just got off the phone to the Department of State. They told us it's still a bit early, and generally it takes 30-60 days, although the average at the moment is around 30 days and to call back next

hi - did you mean July 10th for the NOA2? I haven't seen too many people in the June set of transfers with case numbers yet, only the May transfers. It took me about 3 weeks to get an email from USCIS that they had sent my re-affirmed case over to the DOS..then I got my case number 3 days later. I have seen that some of the June transfers are getting sent to the DOS/NVC earlier than we had to wait but I don't think it's that unusual to not have your number yet although I know it seems frustrating. Hang in there - you will probably get the email from USCIS saying it was shipped to them soon. smile.png

I'm July 3 NOA2. It was 3 weeks today for me, still at TSC

sorry batallion..I know you have been waiting awhile...hopefully you will get a number soon. :(

Can you explain what these emails are that say they have shipped? Who sent the email?

Is it TSC saying they have shipped the paperwork to NVC?

Sure - USCIS sent the email below...they say it is shipped to DOS but same thing as NVC...is your email registered with them for updates? :)

my case snt to nvc july 18 . wow it means i have case num now o.o

Mine was also sent to NVC July 18. Just called and they do not have it yet. She quoted me the 8 weeks bs line and said to call back in 3 weeks if I want.

My case was shipped to nvc july 19, arrived on july 23 and I got my case number today, july 24....smile.png

im not sure either but what I do know is that you will have a case number soon. keep calling the nvc.

my case # begins with pts. ive read some other begin with mnl. does this have any significance?

it represents the embassy my petition will go to
