Anyone from TSC K1 fiance please comment when you get a case number!!

Hi all,

I called NVC and found out I got my case number today.

So:

NOA1: Feb. 1

Transfered from VSC to TSC: June 21

NOA 2 (never received any notice): July 6

Sent to NVC: July 19

Received Case Number: July 23

Congrats!! I checked your post and we were transferred to TSC and shipped to nvc the same day... That made me curious and I just called and I got my case number!!!

We just got the email to say that we've been shipped!!

Our NOA2 date was just last week - I was expecting it to take weeeks!!!!

I did email our congressman yesterday but I doubt they had chance to even read my email and make a call!

I just called NVC and was told that the K1 visa for Fiancé is taking around 3 weeks before NVC is receiving them. If that is the case mine should be there the first of next week!!

When were you transferred to TSC? Our noa2 was monday, a few hours after the congressman's assistant made a phone call to USCIS... we are thinking about contacting him again next week, I hope it helps again!!

We had a NOA1 of December 18th and were transferred to TSC in the first round on May 24th. We also had an RFE on 1st July - so it has taken a while! But very happy! Yeah, I'll be interested to see if I hear anything back from our Congressman.

The last time I contacted them they didn't seem to care too much - but I told them how long we'd been waiting (no of days) and about our wedding arrangements so maybe that gave them a little kick to make a phone call?! Who knows...

My thought was that I just wanted to pre-empt the delay as much as possible, so it can't hurt to do the same with yours!!

My congressman's office sent a letter to London for us last night because our case is in transit and we willprobably miss our date otherwise...we'll see if it helps - I appreciate her trying at least.

Once you get your case number from the NVC what is the next step?

We received our case number this morning when I called.

January 29th NOA1

July 3rd NOA2

July 19th Sent to DOS

July 23rd NVC Recieved

Hi - Each embassy is different in how they go about things..I would recommend you read around in the Regional discussion forum here for Honduras (this one is for Mexico, Latin and South America)..I scoured the UK forum as we were waiting for our approval.

I got my NOA2 on June 10th...I am a vermont-texas transfer on June 21st. Our Noa1 was on Jan 28th 2013. So some of these postings are very uplifting in that folks in my same position are getting case numbers assigned to them...I just called the Uscis help line to see if our case had been transferred and they could not help me and said it could take up to 90 days...I am not going to call those idiots again. I then called the NVC number and the lady was quite nice but said she had no idea where my case was....She told me to call back next week. So my question is how did you all come to know what day your case was sent to the NVC ? Will the USCis webpage telll you when you log in to check your case status ? I hope that we get this damn case number soon. This is very frustrating because up until now it seemed that everyone got this within a two week wait period and now it has changed...thanks:::Hong kong lovers

hi - did you mean July 10th for the NOA2? I haven't seen too many people in the June set of transfers with case numbers yet, only the May transfers. It took me about 3 weeks to get an email from USCIS that they had sent my re-affirmed case over to the DOS..then I got my case number 3 days later. I have seen that some of the June transfers are getting sent to the DOS/NVC earlier than we had to wait but I don't think it's that unusual to not have your number yet although I know it seems frustrating. Hang in there - you will probably get the email from USCIS saying it was shipped to them soon.

No problem. the good news for you is that it seems the Phillipines process goes pretty quickly according to a few cases I've seen.
