Just got our case number today. At least it shows they're assigning case numbers within a day or two of recieving them.

Yeah, the NVC isn't the one that's taking forever. They look like they're working as usual. It's USCIS that's the problem and for some reason aren't shipping the cases off to the NVC for a few weeks for unknown reasons (at least for the TSC transfers).

1/4/13 - I129-F Sent | 1/8/13 - Received by USCIS
1/10/13 - NOA1 to VSC | 1/11/13 - Text/Email | 1/17/13 - Hard Copy Received
1/16/13 - Alien Registration Number changed
5/24/13 or 5/29/13 - Case Transferred to TSC
7/2/13 - NOA2 from TSC! (173 days from NOA1) | 7/6/13 - Hard Copy Received
7/18/13 - Shipped to NVC | 7/26/13 - Received at NVC and case number assigned
7/29/13 - In transit to consulate | 7/31/13 - Received by consulate
8/20/13 - Medical - Passed | 8/21/13 - Interview - Approved!
8/28/13 - Passport with visa ready to pickup from courier
10/17/13 - POE - JFK

We just got off the phone to the Department of State. They told us it's still a bit early, and generally it takes 30-60 days, although the average at the moment is around 30 days and to call back next

I just got our case number, the lady on the phone said something about it just being given today, although I don't know how she would know that. We had our NoA2 June 18 and our case was said to have shipped on July 9th to the NVC... good luck for everyone out there who hasn't got it yet, it will come!

We met when Heather travelled to Egypt to be an au pair!

--- "is now being processed at a USCIS office" 5/30/13 ... what??

5/30/13- Transfer to TSC

6/18/13- NOA2

7/16/13- NVC Assigned Case #

7/29/13- Case Arrived at Embassy

7/31/13- Packet 3 Received (completed and sent back in 5 days)

1/16/14- Interview Assigned

1/21/14- Interview

2/03/14- Visa Issued!!

4/09/14- Entry into America (JFK)

4/23/14- MARRIED in local courthouse

4/29/14- AoS packet completed and mailed

5/02/14- NoA for AoS received

5/09/14- Biometrics Appointment Notice Received

6/04/14- Biometrics Appointment

7/30/14- EAD/AP Combo Card Received in Mail

I just got our case number, the lady on the phone said something about it just being given today, although I don't know how she would know that. We had our NoA2 June 18 and our case was said to have shipped on July 9th to the NVC... good luck for everyone out there who hasn't got it yet, it will come!

I just called the DOS (Didn't have to wait at all I'm calling that number from now on!). They said it was shipped out to NVC on July 11th ..which I already knew but he said its too soon for them to have received it and processed it :s That its taking "up to a few weeks, and to call back in about two weeks". Okay has anyone whos petition was shipped out on the 11th received their number yet??? I'm really hoping its not gonna be a few more weeks :(

I also just called DOS and was told that my case is not in the system yet. I told the lady that our case was approved on June 28th and she said although they approved the case, it is quite possible that they have not sent it out yet. It may take time for processing. Really? Once you approve the case, what other processing needs to be done before you send it to NVC? I am just so tired of these people.

Hi all! Long time reader first time poster.

Received our notice that USCIS is shipping out our package to NVC about 3 hours ago. One baby step closer.

Our NOA2-email was June 26, 2013.

We'll be calling Thursday night to see if NVC received the package.

BTW, does anyone know how long after a case number has been assigned does NVC ship the package out to embassies?

I also got my case number today. Looks like everyone, I think, who received notice on July 9th that their case was forwarded to NVC got a case number today.

For those of you still waiting, if you have not received that notice that your case has been sent to the NVC, I highly doubt it has left USCIS. I'm not going to tell you to stop calling everyday, but the trend so far is a notice, then approximately a week later a case number.
