I had more of a problem with the Facebook chat logs. It takes absolutely forever to load. I spent half an hour going through it and I only went back four months, maybe? I gave up after some time and just took random screen captures (including one that said "loading 35,000 more messages"... yikes!) I read on someone else thread that skipping around like that looks suspicious or is insufficient... I hope that's not the case cray5ol.gif

Under General Account settings in your Facebook account you can download a copy of your data . This took a few hours , but once done I had our entire chat log . Also pictures I posted and other information . I would archive everyone , but the chat you want . I did this and only got my fiancee's chat log . You will see the download at the bottom of the general account settings area .

If printed would be total of 755 pages YIKES ! Screen shot just a selection :)

I can't imagine we chat any more or less than anyone else going through this, so hopefully what I sent will be good enough!

Besides, some pages probably aren't that appropriate for non-private consumption innocent.gif

For Skype I used SkypeLogView to print out the lenght of the conversations and for Facebook, I downloaded a copy of all the Facebook data and then copy-pasted the conv. with my fiance in a word document. If I wouldn't be such a maniac when it comes to organizing, I would've been done in just a few hours with everything tongue.png

There may be a similar way on Mac, but I did this on Windows:

1. Sign in.

2. Click on the person in the contact list.

3. Click on Conversation.

4. Click on View Old Messages.

5. Click on 7 day, 1 month, 1 year, or entire conversation.

6. Wait. Step #5 might take some time.

7. Click on the window where the conversation is displayed.

8. Press ctrl-a (hold ctrl button down and press 'a' at the same time) to select all text in that window.

9. Press ctrl-c to copy.

10. Open your word processor.

11. Create a new document.

12. Press ctrl-v to paste.

13. Save the file.

14. Print it.

Ours is about 600 pages long but instead of using up 600 sheets of paper, we use only 19 sheets. Here is how: Print in "duplex" mode (double sided) and set the layout to 16 pages on a page. The print is small but still readable. This saves cost / paper and discourages some nosey people from reading them :-). I also added a watermark that is stamped across each page, "Personal and Confidential".

Yeah, FB is a pain, because, unlike Yahoo, it does not just list the times and dates for you - but the actual content. Luckily, we have only been using FB Messenger since last month, and I've been regularly taking a screenshot a day of a portion with the date stamp showing.

This, along with the entire Skype call log dating back a year and a weekly sampling of the Yahoo Messenger time/date logs dating back two yars, I figure I'm good to go on the communication proof side of things.

Lol i always wondered, how would one clean that up (personal messages) run a black sharpy through it or just skip out that whole section before sending it in ? or do the officers expect to see such contents?ph34r.png

Have no fear, I don't think in the UK you'll need them at all. I didn't send in a single chat log from any of the methods we use (Skype, Whatsapp, email etch). I have them and if they make a fuss over it at the interview I'll get it to them, but I haven't heard anyone not getting through London because they didn't print their chat logs.

I realize that other countries do require a higher level of proof, so I'm not telling others not to print the logs, and they definitely won't hurt your case, but I'm just saying what I'm doing in my particular case.

We're not even that far yet. Still haven't gotten our NOA2. I was referring to the items I put in the I129F packet.

I'm absolutely paranoid about getting an RFE, because I'm really good at worrying, and mama always said stick to what you're good at whistling.gif

Can i ask something along with these chatlogs topic.

Basically, do we need to print a lot or just few pages of our chat logs, especially we use video chat most of the time.

How many pages does it usually need?
