Green card production after ELIS

I do not see the"save" option to save address without going to the end which is upload the document.

As I cannot go the section to upload my pass

I kept skipping past everything including the document upload and it let me save. Either way, you don't need to do it.

Today I did a Case Status. Card Is Being Produced

On March 3, 2015, we began producing your new card for your Form OS155A, Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, Receipt Number IOE**********. We will mail your card to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

The only thing, is that my wife has not gotten an actual letter in the mail about the case that supposedly was mailed February 20, 2015 nor the welcoming letter. I know that at the Juarez Consulate before the interview the verified her USA address and also at the port of entry because I was with her when she turned in the packet. Has anyone gotten the green card and never the letters that they supposedly sent?

Where can I find the tracking number for the green card?

The letter about the case is in the messages section of your ELIS profile. I never received a physical copy and I have yet to receive a welcome letter. I got the same status update today. I don't care about the letters at this point, I just want my card

The USCIS case status should update with the tracking number once it's been mailed out.

Question! Just want to make sure things are okay since I found the ELIS website unnecessarily confusing.

My visa was issued on February 24.

I picked up my visa package on March 5.

On March 5, I created the ELIS account and paid the $165 fee. Got payment confirmation email.

I am planning to POE on March 16.

I checked back today and the status already changed from Accepted to Optimized? Is this okay? I'm not expecting anything else to happen until after POE but I just wanted to make sure everything was okay for now. Thanks!

I don't know, but I think optimized sounds better than accepted, wouldn't you say?

I read way back in the thread that it will stay on optimized until you enter POE, then it is pushed from there to start the actual card production. I paid my fee on Feb 23 but I am not entering POE until mid April. My status reads optimized, and I expect it will remain that way until sometime after I enter the US.

Mine didn't go to Optimized until a month after I entered. I thought it was an indication when your visa package arrives at TSC but I guess not if someone has already got it before entering

Oh, this is comforting to know. Thank you so much! I expect the same, but I'd gone back a couple of pages on this thread and everyone seemed to be saying it changed to optimized after POE, so I started being paranoid that something was off. I'll update if something happens after I do POE in 10 days!

Yeah, I think yours was one of the posts I'd read! I guess they're doing something different now... who knows.

My Green Card has been shipped out today so hopefully I will have it this week much excite

Just had a weird hiccup - on the tracking today it said my package was "undeliverable as addressed" and was going to be sent back. It hadn't even left the post office and wasn't due to be delivered until tomorrow, so I called just now. The woman who I spoke to said she remembered the package, that something was messed up on it, but they figured it out after the status update so it's coming in the mail tomorrow. Phew! Let's hope it does.

Update on green card. On Friday March 6, 2015 i received a text message on mobile phone: Your case IOE************** is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov. Checked status and i got a tracking number for green card sent. On Monday March 9, 2015 it arrived as USPS tracking stated.

In the uscis website I enable mobile and email notification 2 weeks ago, so they did notify via mobile text message.

Btw, apparently if you don't specify the last 4 digits of your zip code, they smack 0000 on the end. That's why my local Post Office got all confused then suddenly "figured it out".

It was written (not my real zip code) 12345-0000.

I'm not sure where I would have had to write the last 4 digits. So many forms.
