Received an email at 3:30am this morning for only one of the cases that the card was mailed today, but there was no priority mail tracking number. ELIS shows that case as being closed now.

For the other case we didn't receive any updates and ELIS is still showing it being as open. USCIS case status shows it the same as last Friday that the card is being produced.

Any cause to worry? I suspect that they updated one case but didn't update the other, or for some reason the first case got done at the end of the day and the second case should be done today. Also, when should I be getting the Priority Mail tracking numbers?

Here is the information regarding the cases for my in-laws (wife, their daughter, is the petitioner under the IR-5 category, Parents of a USC):

Submit I-130 (2 petitions) to USCIS on May 30, 2013

USCIS approved the cases on March 10, 2014.

Received notice online from USCIS the cases were sent to NVC on March 17, 2014.

NVC received the cases on March 28, 2014

The case numbers were created on Monday, April 28.

We received the numbers by phone on Friday, May 2.

DS-261 became available on both cases late in the evening on Friday, May 2. Both DS-261 filed on Saturday, May 3.

Received emails to my wife regarding AOS at around 8am on Wednesday, May 7. At the same time received emails that were cc of letters sent to my in-laws. However, the date of all of the letters was Monday, May 5.

Received emails regarding the Immigrant Visa Fee at around 11:15am on Wednesday, May 7. IV fees became available online at around 1pm on Wednesday, May 7. Date of invoice was Tuesday, May 8.

Paid all the fees on Wednesday, May 7 at around 1:15pm.

All fees marked as paid and DS-260 become available sometime late on Friday, May 9.

Dropped off IV and AOS packages (in two different envelopes - 1 for AOS and 1 for IV documents) at the local post office at around 2pm on Saturday, May 10.

Submitted DS-260 (for both cases) around 10am on Sunday, May 11.

Both document packages received by NVC on Monday, May 12 (according to Post Office Tracking - one around 1pm and the other around 4pm. Don't know why they got separated.)

Received checklist email for both cases at 4pm on Thursday, June 12 regarding the IV civil documents

Wife called NVC in the afternoon of Friday, June 13 to inquire about the checklist. Told by a representative they are normal and automatic and not to worry. AOS under review. Call back after Tuesday, June 24.
Received a checklist for my father-in-law on Monday, June 16. NVC reviewed his AOS paperwork, but waiting for the documents the requested the week before.

Wife called NVC in the morning of Tuesday, June 17. Told by the agent they don't have the document requested for dad, and they don't have the AOS package for her mom.

Put in a request with our Senator to get more information. Response was mother-in-law is documentary complete and father-in-law was in document review for the military document.

Wife called NVC on the morning of Tuesday, July 1 and spoke with a supervisor regarding her dad's military document. Supervisor said she would look into it.

Supervisor called us and left a voicemail on the morning of Wednesday, July 9 and stated they have located my father-in-law's military documents. Case sent back to document review.

Per conversation with an agent, the expedited request originally requested by email on July 7, was sent to the Embassy on Thursday, July 10.

Received by postal mail on Thursday, August 21 from our Senator regarding the response of another inquiry. Still the same.

Early in the morning on Friday, August 22:

Wife calls the Embassy and was told the IV section doesn't accept calls, and was given a number in the states that turned out to be scheduling assistance for NIV interviews.

Called NVC as soon as they opened and was told the Embassy denied the expedite request, but the case was completed by NVC on Monday, August 18. Wife inquired about interview scheduling, and was given some good information.

At 5 PM on Thursday, September 11, received the interview letters. Interview is scheduled for the morning of October 9.

Mother-in-law approved. Father-in-law placed in Administrative Processing due to follow-up TB test.

CEAC stated ISSUED for my mother-in-law on October 15. DHL had the package for pick up on October 17 but called the wrong number. Package picked up on October 27.

On December 11 mother-in-law received a phone call from the Embassy that the medical is back for my father-in-law and to DHL his passport to them. Passport sent on December 12.

On December 18 CEAC updated to ISSUED for my father-in-law. My wife is happy!!!! Embassy said they gave it to DHL on December 19

Due to a DHL delay the package did not become available for pick up until December 24. USCIS Immigrant Fee paid the same day.

POE: JFK Terminal 1 - December 26, 2014 - They are finally here!!!

Took them to a local SSA office to get SSN on January 6, 2015. Cards received on January 10, 2015.

Green Cards received by priority mail on January 23, 2015 (four weeks after arrival).

Both went to motor vehicles and got state issued ID cards on April 11, 2015.

So yesterday we met with our local USCIS office with regards to the lost immigration packet.

We got to the meeting early, didn't have a long wait at security which was nice. We were seen pretty much right away at the window. The lady made copies of everything they needed (birth cert, ssn, passport, marriage cert, UK & Wisconsin drivers licenses). The only thing she needed that we didn’t have was 2 passport type photos. We had plenty of photos but they were UK size not USA. So we had to leave and find a Walgreens and then come back. She said when you come back all we needed to do was drop off the passport type photos and then she would take Steve’s fingerprints and then she could mail everything to the Texas Service Center for his green card to be processed. What a sigh of relief that sounded so good.

So we left and thanks to the security guards they gave us directions to the nearest Walgreens. So when we got back, we went through Security again headed up to the window gave the same lady the 2 photos she needed and she then says you’re going to have to come back. The supervisor wants to have an interview with Steve, have him take an oath and then he will be fingerprinted then. She said you will get a letter in 1-2 weeks and then you have to come back. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Were LIVID!

I mean come on! This was THEIR mistake in the first place so now we have to make another trip to their office which means more lost time from work and more gas $$ for the 2+ hour drive. I mean who do they think they are? They also act like it's OUR privilege to be in there presence. When this is all done I would really like to file a complaint but how does one even do that?

So now back to more waiting for the interview letter with the date/time.

WOW I'm really sorry to hear all that, what a total joke... I spent another 3 hours waiting at SS to correct the mistake that THEY made, and had to pay for a taxi as the office is so far away and it was snowing buckets. SO I know the feeling a little bit!

Thanks @katieflossom you know the feeling of frustration then as well. I hope they are able to get your SSN sorted out correct this time. I can't believe you had to wait 3 hours that is a joke too. The government should be held accountable for their mistakes. We are penalized 60+ days if we receive a checklist for something incorrect or incomplete on our paperwork.

Glad you make it back home safe.

I have a question, I check my GC on the site and it says card is being produce, the date was Jan 20, 2015 and until now no update.

What I did was took the IOE case number from ELIS and put it into the case status search on www.uscis.gov. I also have an account in the case status update system, so I added the IOE case number to my case status account and activated email notification there. I received an email yesterday morning that the card was going to be sent out by post yesterday. Last night I received another update with the USPS tracking number for the card.

In our case we actually have two IOE case numbers (one for my mother-in-law and one for my father-in-law). I checked ELIS last Saturday and saw the cards were sent to production last Friday. Went over to the case status system and signed up for email updates for both cases. It sounds about right that you haven't received any information regarding mailing, our cases were sitting in production status for almost 4 business days. Once you receive the email that the card is going to be shipped then the status on ELIS changes to closed.

Here is the information regarding the cases for my in-laws (wife, their daughter, is the petitioner under the IR-5 category, Parents of a USC):

Hi all

I paid my ELIS fee on Nov 22nd and it went into "Optimized" as of Dec 24th. It hasn't moved from there and the USCIS tracker says the lockbox has received our case and is working on it.

I notice there is a "profile" section on the ELIS website where I have to upload a picture of my passport, fill in my address etc. Does this need to be completed? I thought we only had to pay the fee and wait :P

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Paid the fee for In-Laws in ELIS on December 24.

In-Laws POE was JFK Terminal 1 on December 26.

Took them to a local SSA office to get SSN on January 6. Agent said they do the SAVE check there. Made no reference that a number has already been assigned (per answering YES on the DS-260) or to wait since it was only 11 days after entry. Cards received on January 10.

As of today, status in ELIS is Accepted with Case Received on December 24. When I do a check on the USCIS.gov case status website I get case can't be found.

How long should we wait before we start thinking about contacting USCIS or scheduling an INFOPASS appointment?

Did you mean your payment was accepted. I had the same until case was optimized. When checking case status It used to say case number was not found. I just checked today and it says USCIS lockbox has accepted your case. My case file was received on Jan 13 and status was updated to optimized on Jan 23. I

You only have to pay the fee. I did check with USCIS and the answer was your card will be mailed to the address on the visa packet.

You can update the address without adding a photo of your passport. To be honest, I'm not sure how I did it, but I did. Likely I backed up when it was like "hey add the picture" because I was like "uhm.. no?"

Today the USCIS did confirm that my husband's immigration packet given at POE in Dublin is LOST. So we had to schedule an appointment for next week with our local USCIS office. I'm very concerned now about where are the papers as they contain highly confidential information. Identity theft is weighing on my mind now. We'll it could be worse, at least I have my husband here living with me. He passed his drivers test this week so that's another item ticked off the list. I just hope they don't make him do the medical over again, if so they can pay that bill for us!

Have a good weekend.

Ugh! I suspect I may be in the same boat. I entered at the same POE, just two days later, and my case hasn't made any progress past "payment accepted" since. I called USCIS but they asked me politely to call back in the morning...

I updated my address on ELIS in the hopes that it might trigger something. I guess I can at least be thankful the status changed to "Optimized" so I'm safe knowing my immigration package made it to Texas.

the NCSC forwarded a message I sent to TSC on 1/28 and I've yet to hear anything. I'm not starting on the phone calls until it's been three months since POE because I absolutely loathe using phones. I can never hear what the other person is saying!
