Well, wish I could say the same. I entered October 22nd and still no sign of my card. Status stuck on Optimized (in process). When I call USCIS they say card is awaiting verification. Does anyone know what that is and how long it takes?

Ya, this stumped me also ... Here's what I learned about 'verification'.

In the online ELIS portal, is a section for A#, Passport #, Issuing Authority. These were blank prior to 'verification' but

it seemed possible at the time to upload scans of documents to get the verification process started.

For some reason, a human will receive the A-File that you hand carried into the POE, at TSC, where the casefile is opened, and the #s are manually verified by a human. So, is a queue, rather is several queues.

So, knowing what I know about casefile movement from a POE into the TSC, I'll suggest this to you:

Not all POE CBP data entry stations send out casefiles in a timely fashion, and even once the 'block of casefiles' is at TSC, they still have to be moved through the loading dock area into sorting into the right intake queue for further processing.

I truly wish that CBP data entry would use the back-end ELIS data system, instead. Sure, they use the SAVE system, and that's great, but that's not ELIS, at all.

On the ELIS website, i uploaded copy of my passport in other to put my full name , address and other details there. I entered on November 21st through JFK and I paid for the ELIS on November 30th and it got optimized on the 17th, card mailed on the 18th and i got it on the 19th. I t was mailed from TN and it took only two days to arrive in AL. I guess I was lucky and maybe i uploaded all the informations. I really don't know

Here's a thought.

Still waiting? Upload scans of documents, as an experiment -

perhaps this will 'kick' things into the top of the next queue,

and flow quickly.

Yes, just a thought, and since uploading is allowed, it won't stop the previous queue of 'waiting for the casefile to arrive at TSC' at all. I'm hoping, really, that it will jump over that queue, what with an actual legal document in their hands.

Comments? Anyone up to try it ?

my one other comment -

it seems that folk get speed after paying , after the POE event.

When paid prior to POE event? we see a lag here, regardless of POE.

Hey,

Thank you Darnell, I will try to upload passport and birth certificate and see what happens. After researching online, I can't find any information regarding this so called "verification". I will try anything at this time. I will keep you posted.

Ya, I learned of it via several emails with ELIS support folk and maybe 18 calls into an ISO over the course of time, this year.

That's the word they use 'verification'.

well I tried logging into portal to upload the documents and it won't upload the docs. Says "this portlet is temporary disabled" So that never worked for me. I will try again tomorrow. I called and waited for 45 mins for a ISO who said he sees nothing wrong with the file and these things takes time. He also said "verification" is a process of manually checking the data printed on the card.

I tried to me nice....I said - "if they are manually checking the data on my card that would signify the card is printed"

I smell something fishy in that explanation because no where on my case status does it say my card production was ordered or card was printed. My case lifecycle bubble is on "optimized" and the status is "in process" but I am not familiar with these things.

Then he states that they have a new system and they have some backlog. Also smells funny but I was pleasant and said thank you.
