Congrats, they give you a little leaflet saying "Welcome to the USA" with it which would have been nice at POE but a bit late considering that it arrives with the GC sometime after POE

Thank you!! Yeah, that would've been handy. The only thing they gave us at POE was a half-sheet of paper titled "Conditional Permanet Resident" (note the spelling) with a brief explanation of the removal of conditions.

Update on our post POE life - Hubby got his driver's permit yesterday and scheduled the driving test for his TXDL next month. He felt more comfortable taking driving lessons to learn our road rules, so he'll be doing that this week and next. He's currently looking for a job right now too.

There sure is. You can use the ELIS account you created to pay the $165 immigrant fee to track status. When the status there changes from Accepted to Optimized, you can use the receipt number starting with IOE to track card production on the USCIS Case Status website.

Nada for me. I'd be more upset if my husband wasn't able to work, but I do know he's getting tired of carrying around his passport everywhere. Let's hope this ELIS gets moving soon!
