No such luck. We'll start making phone calls soon. I don't know how much the issues at POE might've delayed us but I want to know what to expect.

No, actually! My husband selected the box on the DS-260 and that was all. When we did POE, I asked the CBP about the SSN production and he said "we don't handle that, that's a DoS document" then tossed an SSA pamphlet at us and sent us on our way. I remember reading on here that the SSN production is dependent on something the CBP enters into their computer at POE. I'm thinking that's not entirely accurate now... Anyway, that was why I was starting to think we'd have to go to the local office.

bdrew, your IOE # will work when it says "Optimized". Hopefully, yours is quick, but I think there is something to ours being optimized exactly 1 month after POE. Then again, there just may be no telling with these people. The info it gives really isn't helpful. My wife's only said "In Production" or "Mailed". Maybe we will call for a tracking number today.

Best of luck.

Exactly. NLR let me know that IOE number isn't trackable on the case status page until ELIS flips to "optimized," but I get so annoyed with that secure code requirement that I just keep checking USCIS hoping the number will suddenly work :P I should stop checking 5 times per day, haha.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yes maybe you should

But I'll be honest.

I checked ELIS like 5 times a day :ph34r:

If you don't get it in 2-3 weeks go to the office and apply.

Oh come on. I went to log on to ELIS this morning, requested the secure PIN and entered it as specified -- only once -- and they locked me out and revoked online access to my account for having exceeded 3 unsuccessful login attempts. WHAT? -_- I hate this with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. :protest:

Ffs, what an awful system. I'm not touching it again today, I'll stick to trying the IOE randomly... trying to minimize stress before we leave for vacation Saturday :lol:

Haha, thanks! Boston summers are great training for Cancun weather actually, it'll be 90 and humid on Friday so there won't be any shock when we get down there! Maybe it'll cool off here by the time we're home. Wouldn't mind taking the AC out of the window finally.

Also: BEES!!! Gets me every time :lol:
