For those that have commented about receiving a notice to send back their green cards - word of caution... ensure that it is actually a legitimate email from a legitimate source - i would recommend calling the USCIS or contacting the local office.

But, if it turns out to be legitimate - how far "wrong" was the date? days/weeks or years?

NOA1 August 3 2011
NOA2 April 14 2012
NVC receipt May 17 2012

Interview June 6th 2013 - APPROVED - case upgraded to IR1 at time of interview based on time married

IV fee paid using ELIS June 17th 2013

The people who have received the information I think did call the USCIS about what to do first. They received a 10 year green card instead of a 2 year green card.

I received a 10 year card instead of a 2 year card. I checked the source code of the e-mail and it did come from a @uscis.dhs.gov server. It also came to an e-mail address that I don’t use for most mail (but did for all of my immigration) and my full name which has nothing at all to do with my e-mail address. Plus my daughter’s e-mail came to me as it had during the process. I never use my e-mail address for her - immigration was the one exception.

When I sent my reply e-mail in, the out of office auto-reply came from the Texas Service Centre. Always a good concern though when there are so many scammers out there. Safety first on the net right? smile.png

I hadn’t called myself, I was following the “don’t borrow trouble” advice here on the forums and just Remove Conditions when it was required. However, I haven’t been reading the upper forums much at all, so I’m not sure how much people had been calling and it could be the calls that prompted the recall of all of the erroneous cards. I’m just hoping the e-mail is correct and the replacement will be in my hands speedily.

Hello here I'm back again,

I don't know what the problem is but I haven't received my GC still, Here is my detail

POE - Toronto 22 June, ELIS Paid on 11 June

I traveled back on 20 July to clear my apartment, end my employment and moved permanently here on Aug 20, I have no intention of going back for the next 5 Years. I called the Customer service center and spoke with tier 2 agent, where i was advised they're still looking to put the visa package and Elis payment together and then i will be notified. I don't understand why it took so long though. I have applied for SS and all the verification went on successfully, expecting to receive it this week. Did anyone has same experience ? anyone who did not receive their GC for over 2 month ? My Elis page says "ACCEPTED" and file # doesn't work on usics case status page. Ok let's share the words then ??

???

When you POEd on June 22nd, what happened? Did they do paperwork with you and such (and stamp your visa & take your sealed envelope)?

That's really odd that they haven't married up your payment and information from the CBP yet. Maybe your POE was really slow at sending the information? I am really not sure what's going on for you. :(
