My greencard was Undeliverable as addressed. We had moved out of the apartment, but no one has moved in to the apt (the building is being torn down). We never changed address with USCIS or post office. Even then the green card was returned back to USCIS for some mystery reasons

I called USCIS and entered the change of address. I did quite get everything the agent said. He gave me a confirmation # and told that they might contact in 15 days and we need to have the confirmation #.

Do you know when they might send the green card to the new address?

We purposely decided not to change the address anywhere, but looks like that didn't work

At POE, I had given my new address. Got the Social Security card at the new address. USCIS seems to have sent the green card to the old address. This was the case update "The USPS reported that the card we mailed to you was flagged as undeliverable on August 5, 2014" . When I contacted the post office at old location they said they could not find the letter. I checked with the post woman at the old address who said she did not have the letter. Will USPS forward USCIS letter to the new address (address change effective from 1st June) or will it be returned to USCIS?

Do I have to file AR11 even though I have been living at the new address from the day I entered USA as LPR?

Found out USCIS used my new address with old zip code which resulted in USPS flagging as undeliverable. Crated service request to resend the card with the correct zip code.

Green card delivered today (POE May 10th, ELIS fee paid in December).

I have not got a welcome letter. Do I have to call the USCIS phone or send an email?

Btw, I knew my address on file was right when I got a reply from them by a regular mail to my previous email.

the little brochure with the green card? That's your "welcome letter". :)

No there was a tiny trifold brochure with my green card. There really isn't a "welcome letter" anymore. They used to send out one, but they don't anymore.

After undeliverable as addressed ( even though our address was changed, we hadn't updated it) the green was sent back to a Mesquite, TX address. Initially, it was sent from Corbin, Kentucky. Is Mesquite, TX the Texas service center?

Could be. Your address is correct now? In ELIS and with the USCIS?

I called USCIS and gave the address as part of the Service request. Also did the AR-11. Didn't really think of updating ELIS. I guess that's what I am going to do after I post this reply.
