Even the guy at POE said to me awww shame you didnt wait until the 2 year of marriage you would have had 10 year one then ... i said never mind :)

Thanks once again .

I just came from the USCIS office and the officer can't tell the reason why is there a delay in the production. She just said that its the government, they receive same cases everyday and there's no big deal on it. She also told me to email the texas service center. That's it.

Ok thanks. I emailed them yesterday. Last time (mail forwarded to them from USCIS) they took a week to answer, so I'm not holding my breath :). I'll let you know I when I receive an answer!

That's a pointed example of deflection.

I mapped out the process for my wife last night - she still doesn't understand it.

The largest variable (for you and anyone else) is the queue at the Texas Service Center.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

The queue makes no sense. 4 cards in the same application, 3 arrived over two weeks ago, the fourth is still in production (since 24 Feb).... Edited by SusieQQQ

Congratulations, how many days it takes your status to change from optimized to closed?

Hi all,

I've been reading everyone's (varied) stories on green card production. Congrats to everyone lucky enough to reach "optomized" and beyond.

We paid on Dec. 16. DH entered on Dec. 24 (I'm sure part of the reason for this taking so long) and his POE was Dublin, Ireland (I'm sure another big reason this is taking so long) ELIS still says "accepted"

I emailed the Texas service center on Jan 30 and received a reply on Feb 11 which basically said:

Your Permanent Resident Card is in production and will be mailed within 60 days to the address on file. If you do not receive your card within 60 days, please contact us at the phone number listed below. Have the receipt number provided above to reference during the call. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused you.

I am assuming that means 60 business days.

Just wanted to share my experience so far in case anyone else uses Dublin as a POE.

Also - we applied for his SS number around Jan 23 or so and his card arrived within 7 days like they said - so we are officially one pair that didn't trigger USCIS/ELIS movement with the SS number application.

If anyone has any stories regarding POE in Dublin and green card receipt - please share! Thanks!
