A receipt ID number? Starts with an IO?

It is used to check your case status at the USCIS site. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

No, it's not the receipt ID number which starts with IOE.

This is just a 7-digit numerical-only.

It's located under 'View Profile' - under the DOS case and Alien Registration numbers.

I think it's called the Customer Relationship Interface System (CRIS) ID number.

my wife has one also. is sweet, I tell, ya, SWEET!

It's used as a master control # internal to ELIS, where all of the other verified numbers are stored after the visual inspection of the A-File occurs.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

[sorry, checking in ]

9 FEB - paid in the morning, what a slog ! all sorts of stuff to slog through to get to the payment area.

then after payment, i updated the profile with the mailing and physical address. Wasn't anything there. I've half-a-mind to upload the document scans they are asking for, just to see what happens.

Heck, I'd even upload all of the scanned pages we made of the 'outside documents' if I thought it would get those arseholes off their arses long enough to do something.

Later in the day, all changed to 'accepted' and I've got a receipt proving same. I also downloaded that 4 page pdf document that was presented (some receipt?) when I made the address updates.

OK - end of report - I'm ready for a dry, longish slog through this waiting period - it's February, and ELIS is supposed to be fixed.

click 'view my profile' and read what's there in the government ID section. still not have it? maybe you not have it cause of yer visa type. yer not using a stupid handphone for web-browsing, right? you snagged a PC running winders with IE version 7 or greater, yes?

Incidentally does anyone know why our case would be at the Texas Service Center with a POE in CA and a permanent address in NY?!

Because that is where they all go and all the green cards are produced there.
