Now that on ELIS my case status is changed to OPTIMIZED I noticed that I can also check the status with the other tool the USCIS has.

This is what it showed me:

Your OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION was accepted and is being processed at our intake processing center. On February 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice explaining this and describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

Why does it say that I will be notified by mail when a decision is made? I mean why do they need to take a decision, what for? I already got my Visa!

What do they mean by mail? Email or regular mail?

Thank you!

This is just a generic content. There is no " decision" or you will not receive any notice letter. Within few days the status will change to " car production began" from there to " card mailed" and the last .. USPS tracking number ( but this tracking number information sometimes may not updated).

Hello all,

I've been following your posts closely for the past few weeks or so. Here is my timeline:

$165 Immigrant Fee paid : Dec 9th, 2013

POE at Dallas-Fort Worth: Dec 22nd, 2013

Received SS card: January 4th, 2014 (automatically didn't have to go to local SS office)

As of today Feb 5th, 2014, I still have NOT received anything (green card, Welcome letter, etc.) from USCIS at all sad.png ON ELIS website, my status is still as ACCEPTED ever since Dec 9th.

I have finally called USCIS today and asked to speak to an immigration officer. I've been told my card application is still being processed (!) , but they need me to update my address because the system didn't have any info of my physical mailing address. The Officer instructed me to fill out AR-11 online. I did that but I was concerned about the reason why I had to do this. Didn't they get all the information especially the address of where to mail the card? I did receive my Social Security Card at the correct mailing address anyway, so I don't know why USCIS does not have my address in their database. I was told to keep waiting and check back after 90 days from Immigrant Fee's Receipt Date (Dec9th), so it looks like sometime in March... sad.png

Does anyone have POE at DFW and still not have green card like me? Any comments for my case?

Thanks!

Respectfully,

Edited by nguoilangthang
