I tried calling the 800 number(a second time), guess I chose the right number on the menu this time because I was able to get to a live person, who transferred me to another live person who asked me a million silly questions and after speaking with my husband also...finally gave me a tracking #! Gee...it's like Fort Knox!! But anyway I got it & should be here tomorrow or Thursday!! Now if they just send the right one(not conditional) then we'll be all set!! ??

I didn´t have a tracking # yet either.

May I ask you when your USCIS status changed from "being produced" to "we mailed..."?

Mine changed today and that way I might be able to calculate the delivery timeframe.

Thanks.

Sure...I checked it first thing Monday morning because i didn't think I would get any update over the weekend but the status says your card has been mailed on August 22(Saturday). However when I spoke to the rep she said the card was actually mailed Monday. Also, usps says it's coming "priority mail 3 day" so that's why I'm thinking We should get it Wednesday.

We should both have ours by the end of the week for sure!!

Hello JennyLu -

Hope you get a right GC shortly.

May I ask you a question?

My USCIS status says that is "card is being produced" since August 12.

How long does it take to change the status to "card was mailed" after "being produced"?

It's been passed almost 2 weeks for mine and nothing to change on the status of USCIS so just curious how long it takes. Hope it's not too long. Can't wait to get my GC. Thanks.

My status "card is being produced" was since August 3rd and just changed today in "is mailed". But I think the time isn´t predictable as I´ve read on here. There have been shorter cases and even longer ones.

But the experts here in this thread might correct me.

Mine changed to being produced on August 5th. Sounds like mine & Jamy2014 are running close to same schedule so according to that you might be looking at another week or so...but a Jamy2014 mentioned...these things sometime can vary unpredictably! Good luck! Hope it comes real soon for you!

Yes, you better check the SSN office out. My SSN didn´t came automatically although checked in visa application. As people write on here at VJ it is a common problem. I´ve got mine "manually" by going to the SSN office.

Oh really??? I'm glad to hear that. I will go to the office to apply and submit a new SSN card next week.

I don't believe that is common.

By the way I have just received an update from USCIS shown my status finally changed as "production"!!!

Congratulations! You should be getting your card soon too!

& yeah, I had also checked the box to receive the ss card automatically but had to go to ss office. Had the card in about 1.5 weeks after that.

Ok just when you're so close to being done with this whole frustrating journey...you realize it's not over till it's over...hence the frustrations continue!!!

Now the stupid USPS is showing no updates on the card since it left the facility it was mailed from on Monday evening! So much for 3 day priority mail!!! So I spent a rediculous amount of time on usps website and making calls...both of which frustrated me beyond belief because nothing was working right!! Only way I could get through to get helped was to say I had a complaint!! Now the rep apologizes that my package won't be delivered in 3 days but says the time frame for this service is actually 5 days!?!???? why the heck don't they call it 5 day priority mail then!?!? ? so she tells me it won't actually be late until Saturday(how convenient...I won't be able to get ahold of anyone to complain then until Monday I'm sure). Ugh!!! Why can't anything related to immigration go smoothly?? ?

Ok sorry for the rant! Had to be done!! ? anyone else having luck tracking or receiving card this week?? Jamy2014??

So you called USCIS to get a tracking # ?

How can we usually get a tracking number after a showing of "card was mailed to me"?

My USCIS status changed to "card was mailed to me" and shown "Closed" on Elis site as I mentioned last time but nothing changes after that. Appreciated your advice.

Yes, call the uscis 800# and do your best to navigate through the menu to reach a live person! Then tell them your card shows it was mailed and you want the tracking #. Good luck!

Ok I will try. And I will let you once updated.

Thanks for your help. You're the most better than USCIS and NVC!! :)
