Have you been issued IR1 sealed on your passport by embassy/consular when got interviewed ??

and stamped as IR1 when at POE?

Thanks for your advice.

For me my passport sealed with IR1 approved the embassy when got interviewed and stamped with IR1 as well.

But above all I will be receiving one with CR1. Hopefully I wil get the right one. Thanks for your advice.

Hmm, interesting development on my case. I received my Green Card back in March and don't have to communicate with USCIS until Nov '16.

My case status updated to this today. Why are they sending me another card? I didn't request one.

Card Was Mailed To Me

On August 18, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number IOE**********, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by September 17, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Hello Ketsuban, How long it took you to get the Green Card after Card being Produced? Mine was produced on July 24th, but till today (August 14), it is still the same statue (card being produced). Thank you for your help!

Yuanman

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I got mine in the mail exactly a week after it was produced. I think depending on which member of staff processes your card, you will be waiting various amounts of time for each stage, because people who arrived in the US around the same time and after me received their GCs within about a month of arriving. I waited almost four. And now apparently they are sending me a second one despite me not having requested it!

It's just their new Buy One Get One Free promo. lol. I'd say wait till the card arrives, if it does at all. could be just some glitch in the website tracking system too.

How do I check green card status on USCIS website?

So far I'm only checking the status in Elis website.

Thanks for the help...

Same place you checked the petition. Use the IOE number. However dont bother until ELIS says the case is closed. Only then it will give yiu a tracking number for a green card.

Thanks NLR. But what is the IOE number? Where do I get it from?

Thanks NLR. I used the IOE number from Elis account and used the following link to get the case status and got the error below

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Do you know , why I'm getting this error?

Thanks in advance...

A) it won't show up until ELIS is at least optimized

b) sometimes it never shows up

and

c) it's pointless to put it in there, as I noted, until ELIS says the case is closed and card is produced

ONLY at that point will it give a tracking number. Until then, all progress is noted on the ELIS account.

True, however we are able to get the "card is being produced" update on uscis where ELIS still says the same "in process". It's not a tracking # and really no indication when the card will arrive(as I'm still waiting from "card being produced" August 5th) but it does tell us the next step has begun...I've learned along this journey some of us prefer not to know anything until it's concrete where others of us will grasp at any small straw or piece of info ;)

While it may offer some sort of hope for people, it means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Some people have seen it for a month or more and all it did was make them upset since they didn't receive the card yet. However, ELIS hadn't said case closed yet so the card hadn't actually been "produced" just in production. Mine never showed that card produced at all nor did I get a tracking number, and others had the same experience. I would say not seeing anything isn't the norm but isn't cause for concern either.

Uscis says my husbands card has been mailed but I don't see any tracking number and we haven't received any email. How do we get tracking number?

I tried calling the 800 number(a second time), guess I chose the right number on the menu this time because I was able to get to a live person, who transferred me to another live person who asked me a million silly questions and after speaking with my husband also...finally gave me a tracking #! Gee...it's like Fort Knox!! But anyway I got it & should be here tomorrow or Thursday!! Now if they just send the right one(not conditional) then we'll be all set!! ??
