I can't believe these idiots at NBC sent me card with the wrong status!

I had CR-1 visa but my POE was after 2nd marriage anniversary, and CBP changed my status to IR-1 at POE. Yet I received 2 year GC with the CR-1 status.

NLR, do I have to send in my GC back with the i90 form to receive 10 year card?

Yes. If your CBP stamp says IR1 send a copy of that and your marriage certificate as well. It's not uncommon for the wrong expiry date or status. It's USCIS. LOL

lol i know. I was hoping to get done with USCIS though. Now processing time of i90 is 6+ months so its another 6 months of fun for me.

My only concern is, do employers ask for actual Green card to verify my status here? Or will they accept passport i-551 stamp for background checks before employment? My field of work is heavily regulated and I can't afford to pass up any opportunities because of USCIS' error.

They have to accept it by law.

@NLR. Its already 14 days now, from the date my card being produced and no update or card yet. While others take like 12 or 11 days to get the card. Since 17/7/2015 being on production.

Is the case closed in ELIS?

Does the USCIS have your correct and current address?

@NLR. Case not yet close on elis. Yes i did update my current address at poe, and on elis as well.

Card is not produced until case is closed on ELIS.

Hey NLR, so i called tier 2 officer and they're saying since my Visa was CR-1 their system shows CR-1 everywhere and CBP cannot change it to IR1. She asked me to call CBP but I dont think she was correct.

Do you think I should just send the card back with I-90?

Hurray!!! Finally i got a new update today. My card was mailed Aug 1 2015. Poe was 19 may and been on optimized from 20 may till july 17/7/2015 for another update, for the card production. Now i got new update today, for the card mailed. Thank God! Thank uscis. Thank NLR, Special thanks to visa journey company, who has given us this chances, to be able to discuss about our visa way journey. I also wish the rest people the best, that are still waiting to recieve their cards. God bless

Congratulations!!! Bet it feels great!! My husband got his ss card in the mail today so now we're just waiting on gc. His poe was July 10th though so I think we've still got a while to wait...I still check ELIS at the end of everyday though...just in case

Yes.

Along with proof you entered AFTER your 2 year anniversary. (copy of marriage certificate and copy of entry stamp)

I think people should start hiring NLR, cos she acts like an immigrantion specialist, by responding to people's questions and hope on ELis case. cos she knows much about how elis works and how to deal with them. Love u NLR! Cos u answered so many of my questions too and the hope!
