YAY

Keep checking your IOE number in the USCIS case tracker to get your tracking number. Mine never did work but most people seem to get one.

Hi everyone, i entered LAX on the 16th of Feb 2015. I received my social security in the mail in just about a week. However the green card process is taking ages. My Elis status changed to optimized on the 26th of march. Now elis says:

Case received: 24th Feb

Status Date: 16th March

Received as: e-file

Status: In process.

How many days does it take to get the green card from this status, the status has been stuck at optimized since a month now and i am getting worried?!?!? Called the customer center (April 2nd) and they made a call back to me by a service agent who said that it has been 45 days and you have not received your card so we are forwarding your request to the texas service center to produce the card ASAP. Still no news yet :(

:time:

You have a temporary green card. It can take from 1-3 months but up to 6 or 8 months from payment or POE, whichever is later.

Hello Guys,

When paying the fees as DV immigrants we entered our case numbers wrong, we added the last two digits ( 2015AFxxxxx01 and 02), since Feb 17 the case showing accept, and the status showing pending and never change. we entered the US for few days and now preparing for final entry after two months to stay there.

we sent the an email, and the reply was ( our case sent to The Texas Service Center), that was on March 22,

ANY SUGGESTIONS or HELP PLS ??

You have to look at your ELIS account to see what is goin on.

Card received! Got a status update this morning with a tracking number. :) The card is sent by Priority Mail 2-Day. It was put it in the mail late April 21 (day I got the "card was mailed" update) and I received it this afternoon (April 23).

They didn't print my signature on it - they printed "Signature Waived". Weird because I did sign at POE, and my signature is not that big or complicated. Maybe not enough vertical space? Or they couldn't get it scanned or something... I guess it's okay.

My fears also came true and my second name (actual name I use) became an initial, even though I wrote "First Second" in the First Name field in all the forms (and checked "No Middle Name"). Oh well. :) I suppose I'll live with it and then legally change my name when I naturalize. Super excited about having the green card in hand!

It normally takes 1-3 months to get the green card after POE or payment, whichever is later. It can take longer than that. If it's longer than 6 months I suggest talking to a senator or congressman.

You entered the USA on April 10th. The fastest I"ve seen a green card is 3 weeks. But if you read this ENTIRE thread you will see it normally takes longer than that. Relax you have lots of time. Your endorsed visa is a temporary green card for 1 year.

Hi VJ friends

You may want to check your timeline. It says you will enter the USA on May 8th 2015. If you have already entered the USA I suggest changing it to the correct date.

I am about to reach the 3 month mark already . How come some people entering at a later date stating theyv already received their green card? Makes me worried that something has gone bad with my case. You also mentioned talking to a congressman or senator, really? It comes to that?!?

It can help if it's been 6 months yes.

Dear All, we arrived to US on 26 April 2015, at POE our medical was expired, I get the Medical and return to them 1st of May, 2015, and we got the endorsement stamp as I-551 on the same day 1st May.

I checked our case status this morning 4 May and found it Optimized and status details is in process, but when put the ELIS number in the status check website I still got nothing ! Any ideas ! When should we expect our GCs ? And for the SSN I went to SS Office 1st May he said as long as you request it in the DS 260 just wait two weeks. Thanks

Your card is not produced yet. Its okay. You havent even been here a month. :) you have to wait 2 weeks at least after arrival to see if the SSN will come on its own. If it doesn't, then go to the SSA.
