I received and approval notice for the I-129F. Now i am collecting information to send my future wife. But i would like to know, if i am above the poverty guidelines do i need to include my assests on this form? Can i just send my income tax information for the past 3 years and my current pay stubs? Thanks!!!

If you are above 125% of the poverty line including dependents, and fiance, you do not need to list assets, just income. Assets come into play to make up the difference between income and 125% poverty line level.

Send:

  • I-134 compleated and notarized.
  • Tax return data for at least last 3 years. (Get tax transcripts they are free, and provide the infor that they are looking for) http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html
  • Letter from employer.
  • Recent par stubs.

See http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfivk1.pdf I specifies to keep it simple.

markny,

You need to reveal only what you want to reveal. If you only want to reveal your income that's all that you have to reveal. If it's found to be adequate, fine. If it's found to be inadequate you might want to re-consider revealing those assets.

A letter from the employer is a popular item of documentation. Such letters often contain potentially important information that pay statements do not contain. You may be asked for one, but maybe not.
