K-1 sponsor proof of income?

Hello everyone, I'm new here & trying to navigate still. I'm hoping to get some insight to a few questions I have. In regards to sponsoring & income, I was told I need to show $24,000 annually. For those who have had to use co-sponsors could this be a friend who lives out of state from you or do they have to live in the same state? The next question is about the physical. I was told it had to be done in Canada, Vancouver only specifically, but an immigration lawyer told me the physical can be done here after my fiancé arrives. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. :)

The co-sponsor can live out of state, as long as they're in the US and a USC. The physicals for K1 are ususally done in the beneficiary's country before the interview...because the results are needed by the CO for the interview. But things may be a bit different for Canada, so post your question in the Canada forum.

Thank you. Maybe the moderator could move this. I'm having a hard time navigating because I'm on my phone or I'll repost.
