Am I still considered as international student when I come back

I'm on student visa, and I applied for adjustment of status in April. At the same time, I also applied for Advance Parole because I want to go back home for 6 weeks. My question is when I come back am I still considered as international student? If that's the case, I will have to be a full time student, which does not really make sense because when I go through the custom, I don't have to show my I-20, I only need to show my combo card.

If you have a pending AOS case, you are not under F-1 status anymore, nor do you have to meet the F-1 requirements of maintaining a full time course load (or stay in school at all for that matter). As long as you have the AP card, and you weren't out of status prior to filing AOS, you can travel abroad and return with the AP while AOS is pending. You have to wait for the AP to be approved prior to traveling though, and I also carried my NOA for the I-485 as well as my marriage cert with me when traveling while AOS was pending. You should also make sure someone is checking your mail in the US while you're gone, in case there is any correspondence from USCIS during that time.
