NBI HIT USEM

So my parents had their interview today, everything went smoothly for both of them but there's a 2-3 week wait because USEM wanted to double check my mom's NBI record. Even if the NBI clearance says she's clear and "no derogatory record" but there is a certain person who lives in Pampanga that has the same name as my mom who got a case that was dismissed before. I do not know if anyone of you experienced this? My mom waited about 3 weeks before she got her NBI clearance because of the "name HIT" now, the US embassy did the same thing. So, it is clear that US Embassy doesn't trust NBI nowadays. Mom was advised they will send her a letter when cleared stating that her visa will be delivered. Anyway, can we call USEM to follow up from time to time? do you have a direct phone number to call? I hope it wont take 3 weeks. I'm just so frustrated right now. After the 8-week culture wait... now 3 weeks... Ugh.. I'm so tired dealing with this.

Right now, I'm still waiting for the sched of my parents' interview. Result of dad's sputum culture will be out next week. I have few questions for you... hope you don't mind me asking. What other documents did they ask from your parents? Did they do the interview together? And what did the COs ask during interview? Thanks in advance.

No derogatory record requires a letter of explanation from NBI.

My Parents brought the appointment letter, 2x2 photos, passport, family pic(just in case they ask for it). and yes they did the interview together. Co asked who is the petitioner, where I live in US and employment. Really simple questions. It's just that my mom's name HIT needs verification from NBI. Good luck

Thank you. Now I'm kinda worried about my Mom's NBI. She got a "hit" too. She waited 2 weeks to get a clearance. Need to check the remarks, if it is, "no derogatory..." or "no record on file."

You're almost there. Just hang on.

When I checked online last night, my mom's visa status was: Administrative Processing.. Then when I checked again this morning the status changed to VISA ISSUED. We have authorized issuance of your visa. Barring unforeseen problems, the visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by courier service within 7 to 10 working days from the visa issuance date.
