Renew US passport online or local post office?

Hi All,

My US passport will be expired the end of this year. It's better to renew the application online or go to local post-office to renew your passport?

I think it's fine to renew at the post office. Bring your new passport photo or some places even take them there.

You cannot renew your passport online. The only thing you can do online is print out the DS-82, which is pretty easy. You also cannot renew it at the post office, the post office will help you mail the application but they don't process renewal applications. All you need is a personal check, a new passport photo, your old passport and the completed DS-82. I would recommend sending it in a priority flat rate envelope with certified.
