I understood that the applications are processed in the order they were received. But I see that applications are processed in 60 days, 70 days, 80 days ... 117 days etc. Do yo have an explanation as to why this happens.

I sent my I-130 application 90 days ago, and nothing happened so far. But I see that applications received many days after mine are already approved! What is going on? Thanks for your help !

NO IDEA!!!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

NO IDEA!!!!

I have wondered the very same thing, and why is it that the VSC gets the job done so proficiently and fast!? I really think that only having four agencies the the USA is a terrible thing and that regional agencies, especially for states with a low populations, should be able to adjuncture their own citizens petitions. I also have heard that people from such countries as say, Cuba, get in much faster. One thing I have read is that new employees in the USCIS are trained and someimtes random petitions are pulled out to train them on, now I dont know why that random folder must be random and just not the next one of the stack, but it could be an answer. Anyways, what are the hours of work for the USCIS offices? It seems to me that if they had so many people working on petitions they would be able to rotate their staff and always be working on K1 petitions instead of this stopping midstream and doing something else!

kenD,

Simple, really - some applications take longer to process than others. No two are identical. Just because they begin processing at the same time does not mean that they are going to complete processing at the same time.

All I can advise is being patient... my NOA2 was approved yesterday.. I had no touches until yesterday when they sent me an e-mail stating that my I-130 was approved. During this time, I noticied that people who filed after me were getting approved before me.. sure I was gettting pissed.. but all you can do is wait and pray that your approval will come through sooner rather than later..

by the way.. not sure if these means anything or not, I had a dream about my wife last night (she's in India) and this morning an e-mail from USCIS was wating for me in my in-box.. :o coincidence????
