It is. Obviously, putting more cars on the road will not reduce car accidents. Just as smoking more cigarettes will not reduce lung cancer. Just as more guns will not reduce gun violence. Now that that is out of the way, I have never claimed that the absence of guns equals the absence of violence. Nor has the administration. As far as I know.

Kind of hard to detect when the seller isn't required to ascertain whether the buyer is ineligible to purchase the gun. Makes a whole lot of sense to put the onus of obeying the law on the felon, yes? Man, you should hear yourself...
