I Said if he has crossed the border and nothing showed up,that means there is nothing and he should be fine..whats the problem?

The problem is that if he had CIMTs and didn't declare them then he may be inadmissible, and worse, may have committed material misrepresentation by not declaring them in the past.

Are you seriously saying that his CIMTs should "show up" on CBP's system? If so, that's nonsense.

If there was no court date, then I would guess that the charges were either dropped, or they used scare tactics on you...which I'm assuming worked since that is your last "possible" encounter with the law....lol

My cousin has charges against him from when he was 16 for punching his father. He could NOT enter the US until they paid THOUSANDS to a lawyer to get the ban lifted.

I am trying to figure out which route to go. When I contacted the police, they said they have nothing for me and that all info has been destroyed. thanks for this input. I guess I should put forth this info. Will i get denied?

Hello,

I don't know why its hard for you to apply for police clearance from Canada . I am aware of people with NO criminal records walk into any office or designated offices in Canada and pay small fee and get clearance . This is possible indeed and its the right of everyone in Canada. The police station you walked in and told you that we don't have anything here, sounds hard to believe them. I reality they should have advised you to go to this office or fill a form here pay the fee and you will get the cert in 2 weeks, even there is expedited process for extra fee which is not available in US. You can not say no on something that is ''yes'' to government agency . like other said, If they find out, things going to be very hard for you - very hard.

good luck
