Do you mean accepted or approved?

If it was accepted, then you'll need to wait probably 4-7 months (my wait was 2 months)

If it was approved, then your next step will be the NVC.. national visa center stage. You need to call them at (603) 334-0700 and ask them if they have received your case yet.

OP, please fill in your timeline.

You say you filed 2 months ago, so highly... highly... doubtful that you are at the vermont service center.

Does your receipt number start with MSC?

You also say filed for Other.

What other?

Did you actually file an I-130 to get a CR1/IR1 visa?

Hi and welcome to VJ. I think we may have the same timeline. I also sent my I-130 end of April 2013 and it was received by first week of May 2013 (May 2, 2013 to be exact). My petition is at the National Benefit Center as is all I-130 petitions that are stand alone. From what I understand, our petition will eventually be forwarded to our local office for processing. I have seen some approved after 2 months and I have also seen other waiting for over a year. This information is based on those that complete the "Timeline" here on VJ. I have also include the link to the May filer, please join us. This is a stressful pocess but you are not alone. Good Luck to all of Us.

I don't think you've seen any local offices waiting for over a year since they only started transferring mid August of 2012.

Not that it couldn't happen, but it's not normal.

Oh no..I wasn't saying at the local office. I mean in general the process was taking over a year for some. I have yet to find the estimated time by local office. Any idea where that might be? I read earlier today my local office is processing October filers, you can imagine what it did to my morning :-(

I'm honestly not sure what "Washington" is as a local office.

Is it DC or Seattle?

Washington, DC
