My husband had his biometrics appt today, it went smoothly, they allow you to bring your cell phones in at the Boston office as long as they are turned off. I was also allowed to accompany him in and just waited in the seating area until he was all set. Most everyone had someone with them. Very painless!

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to join this thread. Looks like almost everyone has received the biometrics notice, and it's getting me worried that I haven't. I sent the packet on 7/26 and received the notice of action the following week (the letter was dated 7/29). I think I should have already received the biometrics notice by now.... I called and they said to wait until after the 30th day...

After reading all the threads, it also worries me that I haven't sent in enough evidence. My husband and I have been together since 2004, married in 2011 and we have been living together since 2009.

Here's what I sent:

  • Joint leases from 2009-now (@ 2 address)
  • Joint tax returns 2011 and 2012
  • 2 Joing Savings Accounts (not much money but a transfer of money savings is added almost monthly)
  • My retirement IRA account with him as the beneficiery (very little money, not sure if this matters)
  • Cable bill that shows the address (it's under my name though)
  • His credit card bill which shows the address
  • My student loans which show him as my co-signer (liability)
  • Tons of holiday, vacation and family gathering photos
Here is my concern... we don't have any checking and credit card account together. He makes most of the money and pays the rent, I take care of small bills like internet and groceries. I'm not as financially responsible so really not a good idea to have a joint credit/checking account was our thought. We don't have any car loan and we both got our car prior to marriage so that's seperate also. We also don't have health insurance plans together because it's cheaper that way... Lastly, I realized I didn't send 2 years worth (since we got married) of joint savings account statements, and instead I only sent the most recent month..... stupid me.

I hope I won't get a RFE... I'm worred. Fingers crossed....

Hi,hope u will get ur biometrics schedule soon... Don't worry too much about what u sent in. Let's just hope and pray it will go smoothly.

Me too, i don't have a lot of what they call "primary evidence" but what I did was I attached a letter of explanation as to why I don't have those things and hoping they will consider that. For now,all I can do is pray harder each day.

I'm giving it all to God, He will do the rest!

Done with my Biometrics today. It was quick:) My appt. time should be 1:00pm I arrived 12:00noon and they let me do it. Thank God it's over!!! Now time for waiting. Good luck everyone and we all get the Approval by October!!! God Bless!!!

I went in Seattle Office the day before my actual appointment and they did NOT let me in (even if I would wait till last person is done). So I had to leave work the next day to make it to an actual appointment. So showing up for an early biometrics does not always happen. But anyways, everything went well, just my pinkies did not want to get fingerprinted.

A few of the June VSC cases have been moved to CSC. Has any VSC case from been moved to CSC? I am asking because we (August 13) are next in line after you guys.

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC

I logged into my account on USCIS website and tried to add my case to my portfolio but get a message that I've attempted to add a case that doesn't exist. I've checked to make sure I entered the receipt number correct. Is anyone else having problems with this?

You need to add the number from NoA and not the bio letter....this happened to me when I used the number from the biometrics letter

In our case, the reverse was true. The case number from NOA1 is not recognized but the case number from biometrics does work.

In my case neither works - Biometrics also done. Called USCIS but they asked me to check after 45 days of NOA1 date.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Hello July filers!!! We are next in line to be approved next month. One June filers got approved already. Keep our positive vibe!! We all gonna be approved next month. No RFE for us:) Good luck everyone and let's continue to pray & pray. Prayers can move mountains. Lord touch the heart of the immigration officer who handle our papers that we will get approved faster. Amen!

My husband is done with biometric yesterday at Alexandria, VA office. He had appointment at 11AM. We reached at 10:40 AM and they let us in. It was kinda too busy and it took us almost 2 hrs to get out. Everything went smooth other than waiting too long. Good luck to everyone on their biometric and hope we all get the approvals soon.
