Filing CR1 petition, will we have any problems?

Hi,

My husband and I recently got married, and he is planning on sending out the i-130. A little history, my father filed for asylum when I was still young and I was a derivative of that application. So obviously we answered yes for question 16. Will that cause us some problems? It has been about 8 years since then. I also don't remember the exact date of it. Should I send in paperwork showing that I do not have a ban or paperwork regarding that immigration proceeding?
