My mom filed a petition to me and to my sister. They filed last 2012. They approval for the process to start was last last month June 2013. I already fill-out the DS230 immigrant form. I'm running 21 this Dec.8, 2013. I just want to asked if how many months or years would usually it takes to proceed to the next step in our petition process? What would be the next step? Thank You Guys! GOD BLESS!

Jan 20,2012-PD

June 11,2013- NVC Approved

July 15,2013 -NVC received AOS packet

July 21, 2013- IV PAID

Nobody can really tell when your case moves from one step to another. It depends on how fast are u in submitting needed documents to NVC. Once all documents are ok, you will receive a case completion notice. You will then need to wait for an interview schedule for u. As of now, someone with PD of FEB2012 got IL. The PD really moves fast and it could become current soon

N-400 Timeline:

Applied online - 07/24/19 

Receipt notice - 07/24/19

Biometrics notice online - 07/26/19

Biometrics - 08/12/19

Interview notice - 11/22/19

Interview - 01/02/20

Oath Notice - 01/07/20

Oathtaking - 01/22/20 

Estimated Completion Time: May 2020 (10 months from date applied :clock:)

IF YOU HAVE DERIVATIVE/S, YOU CAN APPLY FOR PASSPORTS AT THE SAME TIME AT THE POST OFFICE USING JUST 1 ORIGINAL NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE!!!

I will be 21 this coming Dec 8, 2013. I am filling-out Form DS230 at this month and hopefully will be sending it also this month, July. Should I put 20 or 21 for my age? Thank You!

You put your current age. Why would you put 21 when you're expecting to submit the form this month (July)?
