A lot of MENA cases get a 221g. It's very common. And it's not necessarily something to be worried about - unless they check the box about returning the case to USCIS.

Basically, it's just a standard form issued whenever the consulate is not able to approve the visa immediately, for whatever reason. It could mean they are just waiting for a missing or updated document, or they're asking for additional evidence, etc. However, if they suspect fraud, or if they found that either the petitioner or the beneficiary is not eligible for a visa, they will check that box about returning the case. A lot of people in MENA freak out when they get one because it says "unable to issue visa" and they don't know how to interpret it.

I'm waiting for my fiance to get their interview as well. We submitted and was accepted June 6th. I think it will take at least 2 to 3 months to get our interview info

yeah .. but on there website it said 54 days which is like 2 month sooo.. if u have been waiting a month already ... one more ensh2lah and you will know the interview date. They need to open the embassy, a week is enough!!
