I know I might sound stupid but honestly I don't know exactly what it really means. Our application has been sent to the USCIS how long does it take to wait for this result and is that what is called NOA1?What about the NOA2?When do we get it and what more things needed to be done in order to get it?Thanks in advance.Nissel

Notice of Action 1 - the I-797C notice of action that notifies you the USCIS has received your petition and gives you a receipt number

Notice of Action 2 - the I-797C notice of action that notifies you of the decision by the USCIS on your petition.

It depends on the visa type and often on what USCIS is concentrating on processing.

I don't know if I am writing in the right topic or will get a response, but I think my Fiance's lawyer doesn't know what she is doing. We got an undeliverable notice on email. Long story short, I think it's the noa2. The text on the email says "notice was returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it. Please go online to www.. to request a copy of the notice immediately."

I think it's our Noa2 as we got the last (and only) RFE on Sept 13th 2014. The lawyer has asked my Fiance to ask for another "RFE" to be sent out which she did. Our case status now says Document was mailed to me. If you do not receive your document by July 2, 2015, please go to www... to request the document to be sent to you. If you move, go to www.

My Question :

My fiance filled the online form to request another "RFE". We didn't have the Receipt Number for our documents until recently (completely different story), so we don't know if we got an RFE before this. If my original status was "Notice was returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it" and it has changed to "Document was Mailed".

If the mail that was to come to me was a noa2, but I have requested for a RFE to be sent to me, will they automatically send the correct document out?

I'm sorry if this is confusing.

Any help will be appreciated

Cheers
