Kabul, Afghanistan-- Someone help!

Hi, all.

I don't know if there is anyone that can give me more info about the US embassy in Kabul. I called NVC to ask whether my case had been sent to the US embassy in Kabul and they claim they have sent it. When I contact the US embassy directly, they say that NVC has not yet sent over my documents to the embassy.

I don't really know who to contact or who is telling the truth: NVC or US Embassy.

The situation in Afghanistan is not that well and I am getting worried as the days go on.

Does anyone have any piece of advice, information that can lead me in the right direction? Who should I contact?

you guys all have been a great help through this climb.

Do you have your case number? If you do you can check your case status here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Also did you ask when NVC send out your case? Maybe the embassy hasn't received it yet. when you check your case status it will show you if it's in transit or it will show ready. If it's show's ready that means that the embassy has it. at least that's how it was with our case.

I suggest that you use the CEAC to find out if your package is in transit or ready. When it says ready that means it should be at the embassy.

You can also call the DOS (not the NVC) and confirm that your package has been shipped and has arrived at the embassy. When DOS says your package is at the embassy then you should call the Embassy until they find it.

DOS Phone number: 202-663-1225 (press 1 then 0 to speak with a visa specialist) [HOURS: 8:30am - 5pm EST, M-F. Closed 11am-12pm on Wednesdays]
