So, long story short... and following on from my original query... I'm travelling to the US to marry and then return to the UK to apply for a spousal visa. We've had a fiancee visa approved but not enough time to get the actual visa before I pass through immigration.

All I want to know is MUST i cancel my K1 visa application before I pass through Immigration? Will it show up on their system as either approved/cancelled and will either way affect me passing through immigration on a tourist visa?

Thanks guys. Any information on this subject would be really appreciated.

Oh and please don't comment about waiting to get my fiancee visa before I travel. In our situation it is impossible to change the wedding dates and something we will not do.

I know Nick, what I mean is whether they ask my intent to marry or not, would the information that I've had a K-1 visa approved/cancelled come up on their screen?

Oh, you wanted other experiences besides what I said CBP told me when I asked them straight out. Or what I said about you haven't actually applied for a visa and your petition will expire naturally. Sorry, I thought you might not have seen it, so wanted to point out I had answered. Apologies.
