After a long delay, happy to announce that we FINALLY HAVE AN INTERVIEW DATE!!!! <cheer><cheer><cheer>

Timeline

I ended up (at the request of my Fiance) not emailing until Monday morning. Shortly thereafter I saw the date change on the CEAC site and called the next morning and our interview was scheduled!! So I'm sure it played some role, thank the good lord!! ;-) Just booked my ticket to Haiti for the interview! YAY!!!

Finally the US.consulate emailed me of my interview date! It is on January 6, 2014!

Now, im a bit worried. I just asked my fiance to send me a copy of his dissolution of marriage. Will the CO ask for the original? Please I need your advices! THANKS!

Finally the US.consulate emailed me of my interview date! It is on January 6, 2014!

Now, im a bit worried. I just asked my fiance to send me a copy of his dissolution of marriage. Will the CO ask for the original? Please I need your advices! THANKS!

All divorce certificates need to be certified/original I believe. He should be able to pick up a certified copy at his county clerk office for a small fee and mail this to you.

So, the consulate called me yesterday to say that I need to return to the office because...

...they forgot to ask me to take my oath lol. I read through some reviews for my consulate and apparently this is quite common. ranting33va.gif For everyone who's going for interviews, maybe it'd be a good idea to make sure that before you leave, the consular has (a) heard you take your oath and (b) fingerprinted you. :P

A certified true copy of the final decree is sufficient. Good luck on your interview! good.gif

Wish I was leaving tomorrow instead of in 5 months, but, better late than never!
