My gosh, they're not lying when they say things move much faster post-NOA2. After waiting for USCIS, it's a little bit of a shock!

The Auckland Consulate received my electronic file on Monday, my physical file Tuesday, and today (Thursday) I received packet 3 (which I had largely already prepared, except for the DS-260 which I completed this afternoon). I called the doctor to book the medical around midday today and was given a midday tomorrow appointment! As the doctor is a couple of blocks from the US Consulate here in Auckland, I plan on returning Packet 3 to them on the way to the medical. Now I'm hoping for a visa in my passport before christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving indeed!

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

Oh my gosh! So many approvals!!! :D This is really is wonderful!

Now I have a question for all of you. My fiance's interview is in five days and all I can do is think about the interview - what may go wrong, if we are denied, if we are approved, if he loses his documents, AP! How did all of you survive the countdown to the interview? I feel like I'm going to go crazy! So far staying busy and not counting the days has helped, but now we're down to the wire! All of our documents are in place so all we can do now is wait. AHHH! ClockWatch2.gif

I survived by... shopping for what to wear to the interview!

And checking my files every day to make sure I have everything I would need and more

And I kept practicing answering questions with my fiance

Good luck with your interview!

Rachel

You don't really need it. Just email the embassy, they will send the interview letter. That is all he needs to get into the US embassy. He just needs to bring his passport. The medical will be faxed to the embassy. GOOD LUCK - let us know the results on the 27th!!!! We filled out our packet 3 to say that Eric wanted to leave germany on dec 15th, that is why our interview is a little later than yours.

Amanda

Just got a call from the US embassy to my office number (?!) asking if I would like to attend an interview tomorrow morning. I work with the US embassy from time to time and had a bit of confusion over why they were calling me at first haha - the consular officer had to repeat "fiance visa" a few times before I registered that it was a personal call. :P Unfortunately I had to say no because I have a meeting I can't get out of tomorrow and it broke my heart a little saying no, but at least I know they haven't forgotten me and are trying to schedule an interview date (finally)! Woo!

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
