Hi everyone - we received interview letter today via email from the embasy in Frankfurt, Germany. SO EXCITED!!! Interview in a little over 2 weeks on December 4th!!! Hope all of you other July filers are close to or completed your interviews and can be back together with your loved one soon!!

I sent the packet from Chicago via 2-day FedEx, they received on Tuesday Nov 12th and we got our interview letter (via email to me, as I emailed them on Friday asking for current status of packet) this morning. When did you send your packet? GOOD LUCK! Amanda

24 July 2013 - Sent I-129F (USPS Certified Mail)

26 July 2013 - Package delivered (according to USPS tracking number)

30 July 2013 - NOA1 notice date

31 July 2013 - Received USCIS e-notiification and receipt number: Package received, transferred to CSC

31 July 2013 - Check cashed

31 July 2013 - "Alien registration number changed" email

2 August 2013 - Received NOA1 hardcopy

4 September 2013 - Received Approval

9 September 2013 - Received NOA2 hardcopy

16 October 2013 - Received by NVC!! Case creation date.

21 October 2013- Status changed to READY for interview

29 October 2013- Packet 3 received

12 November 2013 - Embassy received packet 3 documents

18 November 2013 - Received packet #4

4 December 2013 - INTERVIEW DATE!!! APPROVED!!!

7 December 2013 - POE Chicago

23 December 2013 - Wedding

14 August 2014 - 2-year Green Card Received

6 June 2016 - ROC packet sent to CSC

8 June 2016 - NOA1 received

9 June 2016 - Check cashed

7 July 2016 - Biometrics done!

27 June 2017- REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS APPROVED! 

14 September 2017- Submitted N400 Application Online

27 September 2017-  Biometric Appt (walked in 1 week early)

19 December 2017 - INTERVIEW SCHEDULED, CHICAGO OFFICE

Question... Prior to today when I checked the status with the case number it said "At NVC" now I'm happy to report as of today it says "READY", but a little concerned that there are now TWO case numbers (the same number but one ending with 01 added to the case number and the other ending with 02 added stating the same thing.

Does anyone know why this is OR more importantly will that effect us negatively?

Also, now what... ds160 or ds230 OR both???

Ok thanks. We did add his daughter to the petition, but have decided to wait til she is a little older before bringing her over here. Oh shoot... should we inform someone of that change or can it just be addressed at the interview? So the answer to the question is k1 only.

i'm assuming the 01 and 02 means your k1 and k2 visa. it's best to call the embassy about the changes you made. I'm not very familiar with country-specific processes outside my country sorry sad.png

Hello my VJ'ers

I have been so confused as to what step I need to take. I called the NVC and received our case number. I don't know what step to take next. When do we fll out the ds 160 and who fills that out and when do we pay our visa fee? Also how and when will my fiance receive his packet 3? I know these questions sounds crazy but im feeling lost and overwhelmed. Thanks in advance.
